Question about iRiver H340 MP3 Player

H340 i river

When I turn it on -it immediately goes to the usb icon and the little battery icon on the upper rt-hand side has a vertical lightening bolt in it. What does that mean? I thought it was the battery and I changed that but its doing the same thing.

    A) I only use the wall charger

    B) Bought new battery and installed and charged it- still the same lightening bolt

c)I disconnect from wall charger, turn on-> usb icon comes on even though not connected to usb and then lightening bolt.

    d) only way to shut it off is by hitting the reset button- i never see
    anything after that.

I have the same problem, I think.

A split second after turning on, the player shows as 'connected', even though it isn't. Hence, it won't stay on the menu screen or even go back to it. I think that the battery is fine. It also powers fine throught the add-on battery pack. Does it just think USB is connected when it isn't? If I do USB it to my PC, I can access the H340 content through explorer etc & play the music, but not when disconnected. Any advice would be great...thanks!

Horizontal lightning blot = OK = the battery is already fully charged

Vertical lightning blot = enough power for charging not getting to player - your USB port may be less than 2.0, or may be malfunctioning for some reason - try a different uSB port first - if still the same result, go into the Device Manager and make sure there is not a yellow exclamation mark by the USB port.

Use the wall charger if it will no longer charge via USB.

Charging my juke with a usb cord

Fully charge the battery to maximize playing time. However, it is not necessary to fully charge or completely discharge the battery each time. You can charge the battery by connecting the jukebox either to the AC power adapter (fastest) or to a USB port on the computer. The battery icon in the upper right corner of the screen indicates the remaining battery charge.
  1. Connect the USB combo cable to the AC power adapter, and then plug the power adapter into an AC power outlet. Or, you can connect the USB combo cable to a USB port on the computer.
  2. Plug the combo cable into the jukebox. Make sure that the top of the plug (the side with the arrows) is facing the same direction as the front of the jukebox.
    View Picture
  3. If you are charging your jukebox from the computer's USB cable, turn your jukebox off. If your jukebox is on, it cannot charge from the computer's USB cable. Note: If you are charging your jukebox from the AC power adapter, you can leave your jukebox on as it charges, but it will take longer to charge.

  4. If the jukebox is on, the power cord icon appears in the upper right corner of the display. The keypad's backlight turns on while the battery charges, and then turns off when the battery is fully charged.
  5. When your jukebox battery is finished charging, pinch the two side buttons on the plug, and then pull the plug out of the jukebox.

How to change date and time for Polaroid i531

Press the menu button, scroll sideways (press lightening icon) to Setup (tools icon), then down (disp) to highlight date and time. Press Set or the lightening icon to select the date and time setting, then press disp or the opposite upper part of the rocker to change the numbers, and the lightening or flower to move between the various date and time settings. Press Set when you are through.

If you leave the battery out of the camera for 48 hours, you will be invited to set the date and time at the next switch on.

You can download a manual for a similar camera, the i1036, at polaroid.com, but there does not seem to be a manual for this specific camera there. Try THIS LINK

Turn off flash

Hi,

With the camera ready to shoot in Auto mode - you will see a little lightening symbol in the top right hand corner of the screen. This indicates the flash is turned on.

On the left side of the circular dial at the back of the camera you will see a similar little lightening symbol indented into the dial. Simply press on this side of the dial to turn the flash on or off as you desire.

The symbol on the screen will go off when you push this to indicate flash is off and return if you press again to turn it on.

Thanks for using FixYa.

My tilt 8925 wont charge the battery anymore, I've had it appox 1 year. the phone reacts to the charger being pluged in but won't convert over to charging mode

If it will turn on a little, tap the icon for the battery in the upper right hand corner of your main screen. This will bring up a "system status" screen. Tap the icon of the battery there also. It will then pull up a tabbed screen. Under the "battery" tab, make sure that the check box next to "when device is turned on, do not charge the battery when connecting to the PC" is UNCHECKED. Then try plugging it into a USB port and see if it will charge or sync. I hope this helps!

Window XP does not recognize my H340 after battery change.

H340 should show as a removable disk drive. Ensure it is formatted as Fat32, run chkdsk, or scandisk. Does the H340 boot into play mode? you did not say. I replaced my battery with no problems... so if it boots Ok it is a non-related fault.

Unit has locked up.

The only way I got my H340 off the loading was to plug it into the computer through the data port, then unplug it then plugging it in to the media port then unplugging it. Then it would let me go to the menu. I tried to reformat it, nothing just wiped out all my music. I tried re installing firmware, nothing. I hope this helps.
