I have regualar smart keys for my LS 430, not the rectangular intuitive electronic ones. I now need to program 2 new keys that have been cut but not programmed. In the past I have programmed new smart keys for a 1997 LS 400 using instructions from the factory service manual. Is it possible to do this myself for the 2006 LS430 , and does the 2006 official service manual have the instructions, or is this a dealer-only procedure?

are they not the same as the other cars where you will press a clip at the bottom of one of the post and you can slide out the headrest?

You need to check your tires for the proper pressure.  If all are inflated to the tire specs, then disconnect both terminals from your battery, wait 5 minutes and reconnect.  Should do the trick.  Please don't forget to rate!  Thanks.

Im not sure where the lexus starter is located but here is your standard steps.

1. Remove battery positive wire " very Important "
2. remove wires from starter mark if you cant remember or use your cell phone take a photo of wires.
3. remove the Positive red thick wire
4. and solenoid wire
5. usually most starters have 2 to 3 bolts the starter sits usually on the gearbox near the engine.
6. Out of experience I wont recommend a refurbished starter rather go for a new one.
