How can I reproduce video with extension tmp

If you go to files and folders and 'show extensions for known file types' you can edit the title including the extension.

However I can't understand why you want to use 'tmp' which is a temporary file and is liable to be cleaned out by any hard drive utility program

Intermitant drive power on my ctm hs 740 mobility scooter

The problem is going to be your motor. After extensive usage, the motor will give up internally and some times it will burn and melt the possitive/negative cables at its housing and it will give you issues with the batteries and the module.

I'm unable to rename any file in win XP,a message appears "If you change a file name extension, the file may become unusable" Plz help

Go to control panel then go to folder option then click on view tab. On the list you'll find a option named "Hide extensions for known file type". Enable this option and click OK. Now you can rename your files easily.

Avery backup labels changed to .zdl file extensions when saved to miscellaneous folder on pc

looks like a file association issue in the registry. try updating your windows registry to repair any outdated file extension association.you can either manually do it, or use a software to automatically do it for you. if unsure what to do, you can refer to this file extension avery guide.

I scan memory card with quick h antivirus and all the files in the card automatically showing hidden and even not showing on computer in hidden form too..i check it with x plore, it shows all files but...

This is a common problem. Some antiviruses take the data as a threat/virus, and place them in a seperate hidden folder and changes their extensions (extensions are the file types e.g MP3, JPEG, etc) so that they are no longer accessible. I'd advise you to connect it with your computer. Then go to the TOOLS tab in your upper part of the computer window. Select Folder Options and choose "SHOW HIDDEN FILES" Im sure you'll be able to see those files. Unhide them by changing their PROPERTIES, and restore their extensions simply by typing in the previos extension using the RENAME option of your computer. I hpe this solves your problem If not, you may clarify your complaint and mail me at : streetstyles@live.com

I cannot find a whole batch of jpeg files on my hard drive. I suspect that somehow they have invalid file extensions so are hidden from me. Is there any method I can use to reveal these disguised files? ...

open My Computer. Go to Tools -> Folder Options.
Go to View tab.
Select "Show hidden files and folders" and un-tick "Hide protected system files (Recommended)". Accept the warning message, and click OK to accept the changes.
Now ALL files are revealed! If your missing files are there - you'll be able to see them, if you can't - they're probably gone!

If you suspect the extensions had changed, search for a filename of any file from the missing ones, and make sure to tick "Search in hidden files and folders" under "More advanced options". Once you find one file, search for it's extension to find the rest (search for "*.???" - without the inverted commas, change ??? with the extension you've found).

Good luck!
Cheers,
Pelu.

I had a cad drawing and I was messing around with it and lost it tried recover and can't recover it. I had someone resend it to me and every time I get it it changes to a file I can't open it is white page...

Most CAD programs such as AutoCad have a history of recently opened files. In AutoCad go to TOOLS/ OPTIONS/ FILES/ Automatic Save location. There you should find a file with the same name but a different file extension such as .BAK (AutoCad back-up) You can set AutoCad to automatically save to any time period, such as every 15 minutes.

Make a copy of this .BAK file so you keep that unchanged, Then change the file extension of the copied .BAK file to .DWG. Then you should be able to open this file. A file with an extension containing the $ symbol needs to be recovered using the programs recovery tool, in FILE/ DRAWING UTILITES/ RECOVER

If you're using a different CAD program look for this backup file wherever the programs Autosave files are set to be stored.

One other possiblity is the file extesnsion is set by your computer to open with another program for some reason. Right click and hit "open with"

Let me know if this helps

My foldders file extension got changed automatically

Can you still open it? Are you talking about a file extension, or a folder name? Folders themselves don't have extensions...

Maybe you should just make a copy of it, then try to rename the folder name/file extension to whatever it was before, then try to open it.
