I get about 3 min of steam and then it just stops!  I am so mad!  I cannot get assistance, trouble shooting didn't help, and it is just a terrible product.

If the steamer starts making a "gurgling" noise, like its running out of steam, hold the hose straight up for several seconds. It says to do this in the manual and gets the steam flowing again--works great!

Not so~ I have had the the hose straight up for a half hour. "On" light is lit--- no steam. Worked 2 separate occasions. No more.

Use Manual Garment Steamer Model PS-300

If you have the Home Pro Professional Garment Steamer PS-300 from Homedics, the Homedics website has the manual on their support page. Go to .
then use the drop down menu to select the PS-300. Click on Download to get the instruction book. Note: the file is a PDF, so you will need Adobe Reader or a similar program to read the manual.

I hope this helps.

PS-200 Iron with Auto Shut-off: Can you really fix problems with a steamer? Is ...

The thermostat is the problem, I used aew3656's solution posted elsewhere in FixYa, and took care of the same problem on my steamer, just take out the damaged thermostat and use it as a sample to get a new one from any electronics supply store, BTW don't forget to buy thermal grease, it helps dissipate the heat so your steamer won't overheat, and the thermostat wont't go off every 2mins.

Plugged in, reset button is lit, won't go off

The problem is the thermostat (NC 150 C). A replacement is available at, item R2015025 (part no. 317-1468-ND) It's a simple replacement with the bottom removed.

When using steam iron i am left with a puddle of water on the floor how do i control the amount of steam

I think is maybe the hose connections. You need to make sure both ends (by the T-nozzle and by the body of the steamer) are secure. You have to align the nozzle with the rod, and push down, and twist. Try watching instructions for connecting both ends on under appliances category. There are GS4 video instructions and GS10 (this one has just been posted yesterday)
hoe it helps. Otherwise I would return the steamer. Nowhere in the operating instructions does it say that you can control the amount of stream produced...
