I recently purchased a new hp wireless mouse because my old wireless mouse wasnt moving like it should. My new one seems to be doing the same thing. Sometimes working well, and sometimes it doesnt move when I move it, or click when I click it . . Ive changed the batteries and that doesnt seem to help it . .

Make sure your not using it on a highly reflective surface. Use a mouse pad , or use it on a dull surface.

The only thing I can think of is to check under the mouse and make sure there is no oil or dust on the led. Do you have any other device near by that may be using the same frequency as the mouse, like a cordless phone or router? Could be interfering with one another. Try uninstall the driver and re-install it. Don't just use a standard driver with the machine.

Make sure there is nothing blocking your inferred beam from your mouse to its base.

we dont do Samsung here, its HP
but HP mouse with no model stated, is impossible to be accentuate.
its a wireless mouse right, you left only small hint.
battery powered wireless mouse ,.by HP
windows 7
wireless mouse, HP and Samsung.
that takes 2 working drivers to make that work. both HP
the USB side and the mouse side.
HP does not support this on non HP computers so windows 7 is the only hope, MICROSOFT PLUG AN PLAY
you must be connected to the internet or its all just a wasted of time,
do so.
then plug both those things in.
the PC goes Dingdog sound telling you its found a new USB device.called wireless mouse HP, (no model stated)
then tries to find a driver on the web, MS servers for that.
if it can find one, then good luck, doing that. as the HP drivers will not like your PC
as here, if this is possible at all.

The left click doesn't work every time I push it down.

Sounds like the left switch has already gone bad. If it isn't a year old, it should be under warranty. Take it back (along with the receipt) to where you purchased it and ask for a replacement.

Cursor runs all over the screen w/o moving hp wireless mouse

Your mouse could be defective, but let's try a few things first. Try to remove any wireless devices close to it (i.e. wireless router)or try to plug it in a new USB port. Last thing try to use a very dark mousepad. The laser respond to reflection so any white on a mousepad combined with some sun light could result in a free for all mouse pointer.

Wireless mouse goes in and out

Clean the contacts where the battery connects. My wireless mouse was doing the same thing even with new batteries. I had to use a toothpick with a piece of Pencil eraser on its tip to clean the contacts in my mouse.

HP Wireless Optical Mouse Fading

Ref wireless mouse. Not sure if you have a solution yet but it seems there could be 2 sources to the problem. First a weak or decaying laser. Second, something you have introduced recently that could interfere with the wireless signal eg mobile phone, another wireless device, cordless phone, telephone wires close to receiver or maybe something else. Not sure what you do if the laser is failing other than clean the lens. You might have to get it checked or try a friends mouse to see if it is better. There s also a setting than can change the sensitivity of the mouse. Have you looked at those settings.
