If you have one of those cartridges with the many games on one then you have to turn it off and start again it is annoying but it stops the game from freezing. I have never heard of the b button going back to the main menu so you'll just have to turn it off every time sorry.

I just don't know how to quit games on my nintendo ds lite

The DS lite console does not have a way of quitting a game and going back to the main DS menu.
The only way to quit a game completely would be to save your game, and press the power button on the side of the console to turn it off, and then back on.

Take note that you cannot change game cards while the system is on, or it may cause damage to the game and/or your system.

How to Get WiFi for DS

Depending on which DS you purchase, you can use the console's Wi-Fi settings to play games against other players around the world or download additional content. The Nintendo DS and Nintendo DSi allows for gamers to compete with one another as long as the game being played supports these connections. The DSi features a built-in web browser as well as a store where entire games can be purchased and downloaded. In order to access these features on either console, games must first locate and connect to a wireless access point.
Difficulty:Easy Instructions Things You'll Need

  • Nintendo DS or DSi
  1. Connecting with a DS or DS Lite
    • 1 Insert a game cartridge into your DS and power it on. Begin the game, and on the main menu, choose the option for setting up a Wi-Fi connection. The location of this option differs in each game, so check your game's manual for where to find this option.
    • 2 Choose "Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection Settings" from the setup screen and press "A" to select this option. Choose one of the connection spaces to use for this location. You can save up to three locations at a time.
    • 3 Select "Search for an Access Point" and press "A". On the next screen, choose the blue padlock. This is an open connection. Selecting it will connect your DS to this wireless connection.
    • 4 Return to the main menu of your game by pressing "B". You can now play games over the Wi-Fi connection.
    Connecting with a DSi
    • 1 Power on your DSi and wait until the main menu opens up. Once on the main menu, scroll until you see the "Settings" tab, which is illustrated by a wrench. Tap on it to open the menu.
    • 2 Click the right arrow until you reach the third page of the System Settings menu. On this page, select the last option, which is labeled as "Internet". Select "Connection Settings" from the next menu. This item will have an image of the DSi to the right of the option.
    • 3 Choose one of the connection boxes to set up a new Wi-Fi connection. These will have the word "None" listed. You can have up to three saved connections on the DSi at any given time.
    • 4 Tap the top box on the Connection page. This will automatically search out a wireless access point for you to use on your DSi. Choose an access point with an unlocked icon; these connections do not require an administrator password to access.
    • 5 The DSi will test the connection, after which you'll be able to play games online, download new content or browse the Internet.
Tips & Warnings
  • Not all DS games can be played online. Check the back of the game's box to see if it supports a Nintendo Wi-Fi connection
  • The Nintendo DS cannot connect to secure networks. The DSi requires a password from the administrator to connect to these networks.

When I turn the Ds on, it is like I have chosen a game to play, without me doing anything. The DS just goes to a game on its own instead of me selecting it from a list. What can I do to resolve this...

Take out the games from both slots, turn on the DS, tap the small button on the bottom to enter the settings, tap the red button with a wrench on it, tap the top button with an arrow, and choose the top option (manual). Then press A, B, B, A. The DS will turn off, and it should be back to normal.

Ds lite to english

First, go to the Settings Menu (the small DS icon at the bottom in the main menu). Then click on the first, pink icon with a white wrench on it. Press the icon with the sphere-like shape on it. Finally, select the language you want. Press confirm and you're done!

Hope this helps!

DS not going to the menu but straight to the game. This annoying

When turning your NDS ON press the select button a while and the main menu must appear instead the game.

To disable the Auto Mode go to:
Settings
Options
Start-Up
Manual Mode: if you would like the main menu screen to appear or;
Auto Mode: if you would like for the game cartridge to run when you turn on your DS.

Anyway at this time you know how to access the main menu screen in auto mode so if you like the game to load instantly then let the setting in auto mode and access the menu only when needed.

Good Luck...

PD: I am not Daniel, dont even know him XD...

press the save button. If there is none, it obviously has an auto save. Make sure you close the program properly by quitting to the main menu before pressing the off switch, some games auto save only when you quit the game to the main menu.

Time and date

While the unit is OFF, push down and hold the START button then turn ON the NDS. You can try the same with the SELECT or both buttons down. That must grant you access to the DS main menu.

By default the DS load the game cartridge when only one slot is used and let you choose when two slots are used. So if both slots are empty the menu must appear though your case would be very rare.

Good Luck...
