EGNYC here--didn't work!!!

Got same error message about licensing, then went to "install wait screen" but it asks you to enter a file name--have no idea what that would be!

Thanks! I'd like to either try the registry delete, or just buy the program again, if you think that would work. I don't think it would be practical to email you all those files--it's hundreds and hundreds!

  • EGNYC Jun 14, 2008

News! I found the original software disk! Is it possible I can just remove the whole program and re-install the software sucessfully? Or do you think I have to do the registry thing either way?

  • EGNYC Jun 15, 2008

Uninstalled the software. Then went through the Registry process you described, but it didn't pull up anything--just did the search, then "finished searching the registry. Then re-loaded the CD, and it opens for a sec, but then huts itself down. Sigh...

  • EGNYC Jun 15, 2008

Sure! How do I do that?

Well it looks like the license has expired.. You might also have to clean up the entrie registry. Or one more thing you can try is to mail me the databecker files as a zip archive so that i can convert them to JPEGs for you and then mail them back to you...

Ok.. Uninstall the software. Then click on START->RUN->type REGEDIT-. This will open the registry editor. Then click on the EDIT menu and click FIND. In the search box type DATABECKER and press enter. When it shows something related to DATABECKER click on the entry and press delete. After this press F3 to go to the next entry titled DATABECKER. XP is obsolete and unless you have SP3, there are no drivers from Microsoft.
Go to hp.com and download the Win7 drivers. That will fix your problem, if they are available for your model.

My computer crashed win7 theme error

try to boot from windows7 cd-rom, without installing it, choose fixing errors.

if impossible at first try,

press F2-button while system boot(before windows takes over),
enter bios-setup and change

BOOT DEVICE PRIORITY to

1st: CD/DVD
2nd: Hard disk/HDD
3rd: (whatsoever availabe)
.
.

please remember to exit BIOS saving changes!
(press Esc button after changing the above, confirm: ...Exit bios saving changes ? - Yes)

if you are asked now :

boot from cd-rom or hdd ?

choose cd-rom, let it work and wait.
in the following, do not reinstall windows 7
but choose a repair option,
leave the setup, remove cd/dvd etc from all drives and reboot, wait.

the regular windows screen should show up...
if this does not work, please ask s.o. who knows around with win 7 or think of downgrading from win7 to winxp professional.
as it is older but reliable, still supported and some win-pro's use it.
win 7 features are available but you'll need time to set up the whole system, incl. drivers etc.

this could work...if not ask me to post some links

now retry to boot from Windows 7 CD-ROM,
do not install, cjoose repa

all i can recommend: if you are a bit into computers, think of swapping from windows 7
