Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

you'll need a schematic and some knowledge. there a two diodes that control the rx and two that control the dx.Check them to make sure they are producing the correct power out put if they are not you should replace all 4

Please advise me on how to connect my Philips DVD 951 player to my Philips FR 968 Receiver. I cannot make sense of the connections, though I tried to follow the directions from the manual pages of each...

The easiest way is to do it fully analogue so you will need 2  cables with RCA connectors:
The first one with yellow (for the Composite video) red (for the Right audio channel) and white (for the Left one). Plug this in the corresponding output connectors from the back of the player (they are close together).  The other end of the cable plug it in the corresponding VCR entry labeled IN/PLAY (vertical arrangement, video connector on top).
The second cable is identical with the first one. From it you will use only the yellow connector - plug it in the TV connector on the receiver and the Composite connector on the tv.
Now all you have to do is to select the VCR source on the receiver and the Composite on the tv.
This setup will give you the image on the tv and the sound on the speakers from the receiver.

Kenwood RV7030 audio-video stereo has static without antenna

OK I am going to suggest two aerials for you. I would also NOT use the old cable as it will cause a lot of problems. It is best to replace it with the stuff they use for satellite dishes (see image).
The FM aerial will pick up signals from all sides. The TV aerial should give high quality signals and output for at least 5 sets.

New Aspire netbook.. microphone -others hear me as garbled

The performance of Skype is affected by the bandwidth available from your ISP. The video image your are sending and receiving occupy a large part of the information transmitted over the Internet, therefore make sure the video image setting is at a resolution of 320X240 (e-mail size) and if this is still affecting the audio quality to the other person (ie. the voice breaks up) and the video image then switch the video camera off and if sound and video image from the other party is also affecting you, then also get them to switch off their video camera.
Also check the Video and Microphone settings in Skype - Tools - Options etc. Check the correct video camera and microphone has been selected.

Seems not a problem of your camera as the image it records of you is transmitted clearly to the folks you call. Maybe those people should get the same camera you use.

Or it their/your internet connection upload/download speed

Or it is skype - i use skype, but some of my friends move to MSN as they say it supports better quality experience of video chats
