Refridgerator has started making a noise. It stops when I open the refridgerator door and then starts again when I close the door.

It's your evaporator fan that is either hitting frost build up or bearing in motor is bad. If blade is hitting frost, you may have a defrost circuitry problem or door gasket problem

Makes a loud noise when doors are shut but shuts off when door is open

Hi,

Thank you for contacting fixya.com.

Check the door gasket or the hinge those can get loose. When the door is opened and closed you change the air pressure in the fridge/freezer so you may have a leak in the gasket. You also change the air pressure to the evaporator fan which supplies air from the freezer to the refrigerator so you may have a bad evaporator fan motor.

Alarm won't stop beeping

Door left open or temp is too warm. most I found is heavy ice build up on freezer evaporator, very easy to tell, pull out one of the drawer and look on the back wall, it should not have any ice on it (a little frost is OK). It may be bad Evaporator sensor, Evaporator fan motor is not running, door evaporator fan reed switch installed upside down, bad connection on defrost heater connector, bad defrost heater element, open heater HI limit switch, open gap on door gasket and compressor never stop running. If no ice build up and compressor is running but temp is rising then it may be sealed system problem. Good Luck.

The freezer works but the refigerator section does not. When you turn the temp switch for the refrigerator it will turn off the freezer also.

dont tuch the thermostat put it in normal setting!
now, check if your fan in the frezer working, if it is working che3ck the thermostat unit and heater in the frezer unit also need to see if the frosting is eaven all over in the frezer side..

Refrigerator not getting any air, (it is warm), freezer seems ok

so you mean the vents in the refer/frezer sections? yes ok there is a fan in the frezer section that moves the air thru out the box.its called the evaporator fan.you should hear a vissssss sound when you open the doors.some boxes you have to push the door switch closed with finger because fan goes off win door open.test fan with volt meter, should get 110 volts[may have to push that door switch in when testing]if voltage and not turning get new fan.hope that helps God bless ,tom
