Try to remove the Printer Program , then restart your computer. Please install again the printer program in your PC maybe that help to identify the printer and reconnect again.
First check the above given conditions and also Check whether any
document is pending in printer to be printer or not. if so first print
them or cancel them then start your printing task again.
For a usb printer, unplug the usb cable wait 5 seconds, then plug it back
in. If the printer is still offline, right click on the printer and
select "use printer online". check power on printer, if it's an hp laser
press the ready button.

i suggest you reinstall the drivers on the computer(s) which will use the Dell 1700n printer.
