If it only happens when you turn it up, you could be sending it too hot of a signal and its clipping so the amp is protecting it self and shutting off. Try lowering the input gain on the amp and see if that helps. It's also possible that your speakers are pulling to much power when you have it turned up that high and the amp is shutting down to keep from overheating. I don't know what or how many speakers you have hooked up, but if you have a sub, try it without that and see if you have the same problem. If you don't have a sub, disconnect the largest woofers you have. Different speakers have different ratings for how efficient they are. It's usually measured by how much SPL 1W will produce. You want to disconnect the speakers that are pulling the most power and try it again. If your speaker is pulling more power than your amp can supply, your amp could shut off because of that. As well as cook the voice coils in the speaker and damage the amp. It's always better to have too much power in your amp than not enough. There's an old joke I learned in audio engineering school "I can pass a square wave.....once."

The amplifier will turn on and give out put for limited time then it turns off and the red led comes on. ive rewired it twice now and the grounds are all good

Your over heating check and see if you can put in cooler spot also make sure u are getting good voltage through wires use a volt meter on pos and neg connectors at amp while radio is down and then when it is 3/4 volume should not drop more than.75 if is then go with bigger wires also if that does not work and amp is hot to touch check on installing fans

Amp turns off

what ohm is it running at? if you have all three hook up it parallel then its to low of ohms and it would be louder if you unhook your 10" sub as it moves differently form the 12"s and it cancels out some bass. but if you want it then you have to change the wiring around a bit. take the positive wire off a 12 and put it on the positive side of the 10 and then take the ground for the 10 and hook it up to the positive side of the 12. so you should have one wire from the amp going to the negative side of the 12 and one going to the positive side of the 10 and a jumper wire from the 10 to the 12. and if it still shuts off then you have bigger problems.

Amp turns off.

your drawing/pulling too many amps. Is it a mono(one speaker), two way(two speakers/can be briged to one), or a four way(four speakers/can be brigrd to two). don't put too many speaker to that one amp if it's only a mono, or a two way.

Amp blowing fuses

Your amp is blowing fuses to protect your circuit. The type of 12V battery does not matter. For whatever reason you are over driving the amp. 2 Ohms sounds like a very low impedance for a car amplifier output. I am assuming you have the two 12" speakers wired in parallel. Most are rated at 4 Ohms which means you are pulling twice the current with the 2 Ohm load. Also, the bigger the speaker, the bigger the magnet, the bigger the coil, the larger the inductance, the heavier the load. Make sure these speakers are matched with your amp. A small amp driving large speakers will shut down at high volumes. Try putting them in different channels. Good Luck.

Keeps blowing fuses!!!

HI ..PUT AN AMP METER IN LINE TO SEE WHAT THE AMP IS DRAWING..WHEN IT IS CRANKED UP ..IS 20 AMP WHAT IT CALL FOR ON THE AMP IF SO I WOULD NOT GO ANY HIGHER.....BUT IF YOU HAD JUST USED 20 AS A STARTING POINT FOR AN AMP-AGE...SOMETIMES IT IS BETTER THAT THE FUSES BLOW ONCE IN AWHILE THAN THE AMP...ALSO CHECK FOR A LOOSE GROUND.....GOOD LUCK

Car amp blows 12 volt wire fuse

the wire from your battery is blowing fuses? and you are using 20-30 A fuses? mine has a 100A fuse..look into getting new wire plus my wire is 4 gauge.., 1600 watts is too powerful for a 12 g wire and a 30 A fuse

My kicker amp turns off

It sounds like you may have the load impedance too low. How many voice coils per woofer? How many ohms is each coil? If you have DVC woofers, are the coils for each woofer wired in series or parallel? Are the speakers wired in series or parallel. Let me know if you need me to clarify anything.

KAC-9152D AMP TURNS OFF AFTER 2-3 MINS.

when your amp cuts out,is it when your stereo is produceing a long low note.if it is then the problem lies within the power distribution from the battery.as your sub pulles a long low note it draws a lot of power and sometimes the battery cant supply the power fast enough and the amp cuts out. useing a power cap is one way to solve the problem, but the best option for you to use becouse your running high powered amps is to have a sepparate battery for your audio using a split charging system.when your car battery is fully charged a relay swiches the power so that it charges the audio battery,so your auio system will have constant power without putting stress on your car battery. you can get thes from all good audio shops. hope this helps you.

Amp

Make sure the amplifier is turning on. Remember ther is three wires that power the amp Battery constant, Ground which in a fiberglass boat run ground to battery not motor, Plus make sure the remote wire is hooked to power, generally it is switched power. But if the amp is not turning on temporarily hook remote and power together to battery and see if the amplifier turs on. Second be sure you have a good set of RCA cables hooking the radio to the amp. And finally check and make sure the gain is turned up on the amplifier.
