Question about Motorola Phones

Motorola z8 Help ... I have had my motorola z8 for about 9 months with no problems ... until 3 weeks ago when it completely froze up ... and the screen would turn different colours but would not even recognise the charger etc etc ... took it to my local O2 shop and they took it for repair. It was returned a week ago, and exactly the same thing happened last night. Now nothing ... I am really unhappy about this .... any thoughts?

Extend the life of your phone - Motorola 5.8Ghz - MD700 series

** Extend the life of your phone - Motorola 5.8Ghz - MD700 series **
PROBLEM:
We got tired of buying so many of the replacement/rechargable batteries for our Motorola 5.8Ghz phone. So I started labeling the replacement batteries by taking a permanent ink pen (aka. 'sharpie pen') and writing the date of install directly onto the battery. I noticed that I was buying replacement batteries after just a few months.

SOLUTION & EXPECTED OUTCOME:
After some searching online, I discovered that you can purchase stronger batteries. We did this and have extended the from months to years. Currently we're still running on batteries that were installed in January, 2008. That's almost two years on the same battery.

We purchased our replacement 3.6V2000mAh batteries from "SmartBatts" - if you need more info, or encounter any difficulty locating the replacement batteries, then reply back to this post and I'll help!

thanks,
Chris I.

I would like to get soft ware for my motorolla v3 such that i can connect it on computer

Motorola and the variouscarriers have even gone as far as disabling the Bluetooth OBEX filetransfer service so you are left with a very crippled Bluetooth. Thereason for this is that Motorola wants you to spend more money on acouple of options that they have:
  1. Spend close to$59.95 for their “Motorola Phone Tools” software to charge your phone, transfer pictures, ring tones, sync with your Microsoft Outlook, songs, and other tasks. Update: You can get Motorola Phone Tools now through Amazon for less than $5!
  2. Spend money to transfer these files wirelessly, to increase your monthly usage.
so to connect your motorola phone to computer you need to buy phone tools where you should be able to get from your mobile operator. and thats how you would be able to connect your motorola phone to computer. hope this help.

Motorola

select(the small house)then look for  "control panel'
next select "devices"
go to "master reset"
(you would lose all information by master reset so do make copies of important informations first)
you would be asked to enter the phone pin to reset the phone.
if you still do not get it go to the link below to download the manual.

http://www.interweb.in/motorola-user-guide/3243-motorola-moto-z8-user-manual-guide.html

or try this direct link
http://www.motorola.com/Hellomoto/Master%20Lists/Product%20Manuals/Static%20Files/GB-EN/Z8%20English%20User%20Manual-new.pdf
(click on other features then select other features in that menue to reset the phone.)
you should be able to read this file with a pdf reader

Help with MD781 phone problem

on the phone that says, 'out of range' you need to select MENU then scroll down to the option that says REGISTER and select that. Then go to your BASE UNIT and push and hold the PAGE button until the 'bad' phone synch's up again. .... I called into motorola support and they stepped me through this.

5.8 GHZ Motorola Cordless Phone, Base w/1 additional phone

This is not a problem with the battery but rather the phone has lost sync. You can get it back by going to the menu screen then going to register. The phone will walk you through from there. Mine lose sync from time to time and I get the same error. I have these phones both in my shop and home.
Hope this helped you out...
