My cursor is frozen an i can not use the computer even if i boot my laptop

Hello.

Either you have a memory issue or operating system problem.

First, disconnect all cables. Be certain to dispel static electricity by touching metal. Remove the cover. Try reseating (removing and reinserting) your memory (try one module at a time to test).

If still a problem, boot your system to Safe Mode (press F8 repeatedly). Go to System Restore and choose a date when your system worked OK. Note: with System Restore, everything, including your documents and other files you saved on the hard drive, will roll back to that date.

Hope this helps.

How to unlock the key pad on a dell latitude D600 laptop

Hi. Please do troubleshooting steps below:

1. Check to be sure your "Number Lock" or "Function Lock" keys aren't lit. These can lock out certain parts of your keyboard. If either of these is lit, press them to unlock the locked portion of your keyboard. These can be found at the top right on a laptop and between the number pad and main keys on a desktop keyboard.

2. Save all open programs using your mouse. Use your mouse to restart your computer. This will only work if your computer isn't frozen. If your mouse doesn't move, press the power button on your Dell until the computer turns off. Press it again to restart. If the issue was lack of memory or a locked program, this will unlock your keyboard. Continue to Step 3 if the keyboard is still locked.

3. Shut down your computer using your mouse or power button. Don't restart. Unplug your Dell.

4. Remove the battery if you're using a laptop by turning the laptop over and sliding the battery release latch. Slide the battery out and replace after one minute.

Have a good one!

Cloud storage and file storage - DataAlign In vanilla terms, a backup or the process of backing up, refers to the copying and archiving of computer data so it may be used to restore the original after a data loss event. Backups have two distinct purposes. The primary purpose is to recover data after its loss, be it by data deletion or corruption. The simplest definition of a computer backup is an exact copy. In the case of computer files, we are referring to copies of the original files that you have on your laptop, desktop, or external drive. Creating a backup of original content means having that data saved in two places, but it's also important to make sure that those two places aren't on the same type of device. For example, if you have 3 copies of a working document on your computer, if your computer crashes, you will still lose all three. This makes the backup method and medium, an important thing to consider for your backup strategy. With the kind of Online Cloud Backup technology being used these days, it is extremely important to back up your files. Ideally, we store data files, movies, music, photos and our official documents on the computer. With the ever-changing technology, desktops and laptops have reduced in cost, and the quantum of storage inside them has surged considerably over the last few years. Unfortunately, storing all your data in only one place is risky. Accidental deletion, theft, computer loss, natural disaster is just some of the reasons that could cost you heavily as you stand out the chance to lose the data you've spent so long generating and collecting. Having an excellent backup strategy Computer Data Backup is the only way to battle the unexpected loss of data. There is more than one way to back up your computers, and using multiple forms of backup will minimize the risk of losing your valuable files.
