After two weeks of my purchase of W880i, my handphone tends to auto off for at least twice a day, even when I leave it unattended. The battery doesn't seems to be loose. Is this related to software or hardware problem? How can I solve it?
I had the same problem as this i sorted it by puttin all the stuff of my mem card onto computer resetting phone to factory settings an formatting the sim it was my own fault realy i didnt know i had to eject the mem card when i wanted to unplug from my comp.

Hi! try holding down the red button on the front of the handset.
If that does not work then try leaving the battery out for half an hour or more.
Hope this helps Fazal Enterprise - www.fazalenterprise.co.uk
very common fault with cell phones - they don't behave well in water. If it has damaged the phone inside not much can be done in way of fixing but it's worth trying to take it apart and leaving it in an airing cupboard. This means covers battery sim case, take off as much as you can. The more the better. This willl allow as much moisture as possible to dry out. (this may well take a few days though so be paitent) If this doesn't work you make have caused the boards to short out - if this is the case it'll be more expensive to get it repairded physically than buying a new one.
Appears there may be a fault between the battery and the handset, definitely faulty, I'd contact sony ericsson themselves and submit the handset for a warranty repair (if it's under a year old this should be free) other than that your options are really just to buy a new one or cancel your contract. re warranty repair, if SE agree to this expect not to see your phone for about a month as it's normally 28 days or longer for these, re 3, yep they're ****, I should know as I used to work for them, hope this helps.
