The jets are not working as efficiently as they were origionally-appears power is poor-only half the strength of what it was.

Well the 2 clues you give make me think the motor is dragging or the jets have an obstruction like a small piece of something lodged in the system

Hello,got a px125 with DR180top end 24mm card {standard P2 jetting).Its very good top end, but poor in 1st & 2nd gears.Could anyone suggest what carb jetting would improve this?Cheers

Tuning or modifying a 2-stroke engine needs a wealth of experience for best results and is almost a type of witchcraft.

Small things can make a difference to the power output and to where in the rev range the power happens, the more an engine is modified the narrower the band where the power is to be found. The exhaust has a huge influence and a half-inch either way in the dimensions of an exhaust silencer/expansion box can move the power band 500 rpm, for instance.

Some of the 2-strokes from my history hardly developed enough power to keep themselves running until until several thousand rpm is achieved and then the power makes a sudden hit.

Carburettor tuning is similarly complex with some carbs requiring much more than alternative jetting for success, with things like throttle slide cut-outs and needle profiles to consider.

Fitting a larger carb means the induction pulse at low rpm might not be sufficient to produce fine fuel droplets for efficient burning. The induction shock waves could be forcing fuel back out of the carb at certain speeds, fuel that can be lost to atmosphere unless contained by a ram pipe.

Without the understanding and experience to discover, analyse and overcome these difficulties, engines perhaps do not achieve capability and often use far more fuel than they should, as the layman's answer to these things is usually over-jetting.

I suggest you seek out a serious specialist for more specific advice and information.

1. Throttle cables misaligned or misrouted.
2. Damaged or restricted fuel tank venting system.
3. Intake system air leak.
4. Vacuum piston malfunction.
5. Pinholes or torn diaphragm.
6. Accelerator pump leaking or no output.
7. Plugged bowl vent or overflow.
8. Fuel level in bowl too low.
9. Restricted fuel supply passages.
10. Plugged jets or passages.
11. Worn or damaged needle or needle jet.
12. The choke valve not seated or leaking.

I have a Humax rt531B, about 4 years. During August,Freeview suggested retuning, I have lost many stations, gained several new ones, which don't work, either scrambled or unavailable, poor strength.

Poor signal strength is the bane of any receiver. See if you can improve matters by connecting your antenna to a good antenna amp and connect latter to your humax. Bet it works better. Also position as high as possible and direct it in the direction of most of the stations you want to receive.

I have stihl 026 pro gets warm only gets half power . replaced fuel line what could it be

Could be a clogged up air filter. Remove it and blow compressed air on it to remove any built up sawdust/debris. The fuel jets on the carburetor could also be out of adjustment giving you poor performance.

My hot tub has an issue. Only half the display is working, there's no heat and the jets wont turn on. If I trip the curcit, I can get the hot tub jets for 10-30 seconds and that's it. HELp

Almost all hot tubs use 230 volt AC power which comes from the power company in two power wires plus one common common wire. You get common 115 volts between a common and either other wire. "Half way" working could well be an attempt to run on only one of the wires. There is also likely to be a ground fault circuit breaker in the wiring which makes sure current going out to the tub is all returned via the wires and not through someone's legs to ground. If you're comfortable with an AC voltmeter check some voltages but understand that 230 volts is way into the killing range. Two people present and well insulated probes are important.

1.Check the device's battery level for at least two bars of strength.
2.If the battery level is low, charge the battery.
3.If the issue is not resolved, remove the back cover.
4.Remove the battery.
5.Wait 10 seconds.
6.Press and hold the W key.
7.While pressing down the W key, re-insert the battery.
•The device restarts and after approximately 15 seconds, the 'Recovery' screen appears
•Release the power button but *continue holding the home button*, for another 30 seconds.

try selecting your network from AUTOMATIC to MANUAL. Switchoff your phone and see if you are getting some network. If still there is nonetwork and same message appears then it means, you are at a place where thenetwork strength of your service provider is poor. Try going to a place wherethe network strength is good.

Casio atomic watch only has intermittent receive indicator

The receive indicator tells you the strength of the signal when the timing signal was transmitted, (this occurs only during the night).

The strength of the signal dictates how much of the indicator is shown i.e. full strength, full picture, half strength, half picture, no picture, no signal.

Signal strength seems to vary with location (how far you are from the transmitter), so perhaps you are in a poor reception area.

"Poor GPS Reception" error on iPhone Tom Tom GPS

Unfortunately it appears the iPhone's GPS chip isn't up to much as we've all suspected. Some people can get it working while many are reporting, like you, that they get drop outs and poor signal strength errors. This is happening accross all the iPhone Sat Nav apps so it points the finger at the GPS chip itself, especially as many of these people are stating they have dedicated tomtoms and the like that work fine. I've tried Copilot, tomtom and others on the iPhone 3GS and none are able to keep signal long enough to be any good. In fact they are a complete waste of money. It's no suprise Tomtom are releasing a cradle for the iPhone which includes a seperate more powerful GPS receiver...

I have the same radio.

It was given to me not working
I took it apart.
Was surprised about the contacts not being soldered
After re assembly and with new AA nicads it started.

First it would take clock and then go off
losing clock settings.
then it comes on and starts fro factory CAL menu.
after repeating many times now coming on with all functions
volume not great
sensitivity/signal strength good
Now after recharging batteries stays on and last longer.

It appears that resistance/poor contact with circuit board of battery connections causes l;oss of voltage.

Suggest follow these steps cleaning with solution and may be also re tensioning contact contact areas.
