Question about HP Digital Projector sb21 Multimedia Projector
I'm trying to use my HP sb21 with a recently purchased Macbook (Intel Core Duo 2.4Ghz, 4GB RAM). The Macbook is able to identify the projector, but the projection is fixed in the "waiting for signal" screen. I'm sure that nothing is wrong with the projector as it works well with my Dell XPS 1210.
It works if you do it in bootcamp. but have to select external monitor instead of digital display under the intel graphics control panel. does anyone know of such an option under OSX?

The problem with MacBooks and MacBook Pros with regard to running this projector is the fact that the normal cable had both USB and video running through it. It worked fine with iBooks, but with the MacBook series it no longer does.
One solution with the plain vanilla MacBook is to use a mini DVI to S-video dongle with an S-video cable. Resolution is limited to the S-video (lousy), but it works.
The other potential solution is a combination of cables. Mini DVI to M1 female adaptor combined with a M1 Male to DVI-D Male cable. The cable is available from Cables to Go and by itself provides the proper connections for a MacBook Pro and SB21 projector.
