If there is a Air leak then the pressure would drop down and make the pressure switch active to let the compressor start up to achieve the set pressure level when it will cut off.
So if the air is not used and still the compressor is starting up then the system must be checked for leak, possible in the line or filter or the connected equipment.
listen for the hissing leak and plug the leak. If however the compressor is starting up otherwise the pressure switch can be faulty.. poor tension spring settings which is releasing the contacts .

Hello I have a Dewalt D55153 electric air compressor it was cold outside i tried to start it it started for a minute then quit not will not do anything I can not find reset switch?

Check your electrical supply. Try plugging something in the receptacle the compressor is plugged into. If that does not work then start going back to the electrical supply box. If its plugged into a GFI maybe the GFI needs resetting. If not then check your main box and see if you have blown a fuse or circuit breaker. Sometimes when compressors start up cold they pull a lot of hydro.

Why does fan comes on but compressor does not?

There are many, many reasons that this might happen. Your compressor might be blown, the refrigerant charge may be low, etc. I would reset the system by shutting off the breaker to the system and after about a minute turn it back on. That should reset any faults and it should try to start up. It will most likely take 5 minutes or more to see any action after you turn it back on. This is a built in time delay to keep it from short cycling. If it starts up and then shuts off again, there are most likely problems that you will need an A/C mechanic to address.

Refrigerator model bx21vl does not cool. I can hear the compressor kick in but it kicks out in 5-10 seconds. Then after about 102 to one minute it kicks in and out again,

Compressor is tripping on overload. You may just need the overload and relay replaced due to a bad compressor relay. The relay is what switches the compressor from it's start winding to it's run winding. If you pull the relay off, shake it to see if you hear lots of rattling inside, that's a sure sign of a bad relay. I would replace both of them.
Here is the overload relay to order.

Breaker breaks

This unit may have an internal overload mounted on top of the compressor. You would have to get to the
compressor to find out and it maybe faulty. That may
explain why the compressor comes on later on, this
overload protects the compressor from getting hot.

When you trip the breaker and then reset it again only to see it trip again almost sounds like a direct short or loose wire. It could also mean that your
capacitor needs to be replaced or that you need a hard start kit and the unit needs a good cleaning.

Try just operating the fan and see if it trips the breaker, if it does then either the blower motor is bad
or it is still the capacitor.

Bostitch compressor won't start

it has a reset button somewhere and usually a fuse. take the cover off (unplugged) and look for a red reset button or a fuse. if it keeps blowing the fuse or tripping the reset then it will likely need service by a service center.

My dash says that my ac compressor is off. How do

If you want to charge the system and the system was low on freon, it may have automatically shut the compressor down.

Sometimes, the computer will do this as a safety measure, and it must be reset.

On my 1990 Deville, resetting the computer is as easy as disconnecting the battery for a few minutes and reconnecting and making sure that as soon as your a/c compressor starts cycling to add some refrigerant, about .5 lbs. at least.

Otherwise, the compressor will not get current from the computer's relay.

Cycle Signal beeping constantly

Hello dtaylorws,

You said,The cycle signal keeps alternating between loud and soft on its own and the other buttons will not function while this is happening, including the start button.

You could have a bed signal switch or control panel .
if the below suggestion failes or the problem returns you will need service!
Try unplugging the washer for 5 minutes and then restart it.
This should reset the system if there is a glitch like in a computer!
Sounds like we need to try to reset the system!

Huuum At your service!
Lets try this,
Like with an error code.
This can reset the system if it is electronic!
Unplug the washer and wait a 5 minutes then restart it.
If you can't reach the plug, use the breaker to cut the power for 5 minutes.

It's like rebooting your computer when its acting strange!
Usually it corrects some error problems if they are not serious.
Or they are sometimes just a glitch.

Let me know how it works! Waiting for your reply!
Please remember to leave a rating when you are done!
Thank You huuum

Hisense air conditioner

-If both compressor and fan motor starts and stop, thermostat is the defect.
- If only the compressor check for your outlet no sign of discoloration, check the voltage if normal, check the defective overload protector of the compressor it its external, or compressor itself is defective
