Some models like the WE12 have sealed drums where the bearings can't be changed. You have to buy a complete unit for about £120.

How difficult is it to change drum bearing on my indesit wg1130tg washing matchine

Personally, my view is that this is NOT a job for the uninitiated DIY enthusiast as it will mean stripping the machine and removing the drum from the chassis, splitting it, removing pressed in bearings and then sourcing and re-fitting new bearings.

To be frank, the cost of a bearing set (if they are replaceable, and most are) will be about £20 ($30) or so. But it's a long and horrible job if you haven't done it before. I know professionals who claim they can do a bearing change in under an hour, I've done a quite a few and it takes me about 2 hours by the time I've ripped the machine apart and reassembled it after the bearing swap. A local repairer will probably attend and swap out your defective drum for a refurbished one and then take yours away so he can refurbish it and put it back in his stock. Sadly, this will take the price up to the point where you need to question if the expense is worth it or do you get a new machine instead.

I'm not saying that you couldn't do it if you had the will and the practical temprement, but I would certainly approach the idea of starting the job with a degree of scepticism.

Remove bearing from indesit drum how to split drum

all of the newer indesit washing machines have whats called a welded drum meaning they cannot be split open.the thing about this is to change the bearings you have to buy a full drum. best option is to go through the indesit company themselves. aprox cost £100 if under 5 years and £140 if over 5years. hope this helps

How can you get between the drum it sound if somethin loos

In short, you can't.

Not unless you remove the entire drum assembly from the machine and separate the inner and outer drums. Doing this will require that the drum bearing is replaced: it's not an easy job and in any case removing the inner drum usually breaks the polypropylene outer drum. As an ultra budget model, your washing machine was never designed to have the drums separated.

The noise you have is almost certainly something which has fallen from a pocket and then slipped past the front seal into the gap between the drums. You can either wait and hope for the object to break up until the parts are small enough to appear in the trap at the lower front of the machine (check the trap regularly for partial blockages until the noise has been gone for a while), or you can tip the machine forward and shake it to ensure the loose item is at the front of the drum and then try to carefully prise apart the seal just enough to remove the debris. Doing this will damage the seal though and at worst it will need immediate replacement and may stretch it sufficiently that other loose items fall into the gap and can lead to clothing damage as garments slip partially into the gap during a wash cycle and get "chewed".

In practice, if you find a good local washing machine repairer then they'll have their own favourite tricks to recover loose debris. I've personally cut access panels into the outer drum and then made good afterwards but not all washing machine repairers can apply boat hull repair experience to the task!

Note that almost all Indesit W123's will now be well past their five year design lifespan. If your machine has any other issues then now might be a good time to take advantage of the current low prices offered by retailers and to also avoid paying the additional VAT which will be added when it returns to the old 17.5% rate in January.

Sorry not to be able to provide a quick and easy fix, but you can prevent the problem in the first place by always checking all pockets and hems for coins, cards, keys etc. before washing and to ensure that socks, tights, and similar items are washed in a closed net bag. I hope that my reply has been of some assistance in at least preventing you from making the fault any worse and only ask in return that you rate my answer.

How easy is it to change the drum bearings on my indesit wil163s?

you will need to remove the pulley first, the screw in the middle will need a knock to release the loctite.
you will then need to remove the spider assembly, that's the metal cross the bearings are sitting in. there are bolts set around the drum. spray the bearings shaft with oil to help removal, and you may need to hammer the spider as you remove it to loosen it. be careful of the heater.
then knock the bearings and seal out and do the reverse proceedure to put back together.

Bearing noise on Indesit WDG1295

you will have to open the machine lid to see if its a plastic drum or metal.
the metal drum is easier as it has a 'spider asssembly'. remove this after taking off the pulley by taking out the bolts that hold it and bang it off being carefull of the heater element. remove the bearings and seal and refit in reverse order you took it off.
i would not advise replacing plastic drum bearings as they are a pain, removal of the rear of a plastic drum easy but not putting it back !

Indesit Washing machine spider bearings

bolts holding spider to tub have loctite on them. only way i found to shift them is heat till they turn easy. i do refrigeration so have oxy/propane burner which makes it easy.
it is easy to damage tub when trying to lever spider out. i use three wood wedges and tap them in turn.
it is a pig of a job
