Question about Acer Aspire 5050-3242 Notebook
My laptop is not even 3 weeks old. I think i damaged the LCD while carrying the unit down from the 3rd floor of my house to the router on the 1st floor. I was being lazy and instead of disconnecting all, i place the mini mouse between the keyboard and the LCD and carried. Having the full intention of getting a good signal from the router and returning to the 3rd floor.
As i was making my way down the stairs, the unit started making a noise, much like the noise you get when you are holding a key down on your keyboard.
I swear, this was not even a minutes time and when i opened the laptop fully, a mark of the mouse and wire was embedded in the lcd and showed as a black circle (shape of the mouse) and the wires of the mouse on either side.
Does anyone know what i can do to get my visability back. I can NOT see enough of the screen to restore from back up, enter disk, etc.
Is this down hard? It was of such a short time to cause this much damage and inconvenience. Any thoughts?
Sir try holding the fn key then press the monitor-like icon in the keyboard. maybe it just pressed accidentally but you just probably broken your LCD. if this fails, let the unit be check by a technician.
