Below are some helpful tips on what to do if you cannot turn your phone on. If, after trying the solutions below, your phone still does not switch on, please take it to your nearest service center.

  • Press the on/off key for a minimum of 10 seconds to switch the phone on.
  • Make sure that the battery is charged.
  • Sometimes the battery must be removed to allow dust, dirt and corrosion to be cleaned from the connectors on the phone and battery. You can clean the connectors with a soft brush, cloth or q-tip moistened with any type of unflavored, colorless alcohol. Make sure the battery is totally dry before you put it back.
  • Also, check for damage to the phone connectors. If you have an original Sony Ericsson battery and your phone says "alien battery", the cleaning procedure may help you correct the problem.
  • If your phone has a Memory Stick™, remove the Memory Stick and try to switch the phone on. If it works, please take your phone and Memory Stick to the nearest service center.
  • If your phone vibrates continuously when you try to switch it on, please try to do an update using the Sony Ericsson Update Service.
if it keeps doing that i would take it to the store and get it looked at and see if there is a problem with the software

How do i copy a phone book for the Uniden DECT1560 cordless phone

Kathy,
This should do the trick!

Copying Phonebook Entries to Another Handset:
You can transfer one phonebook entry at a time or all phonebook entries at once.
1) With the phone in standby, press the address book icon.
2) To copy one entry, find the phonebook entry you want to copy, press Menu /Select , and then select Copy.
To copy all entries, press Menu /Select and then select Copy All.
3) Move the cursor to select the handset which you want to transfer the entries to and then press Menu /Select .
If you select Copy All, Are you sure? appears on the display screen. Move the cursor to select Yes, and then
press Menu /Select .
4) The phonebook entries will be transferred to the designated handset. During the copy process, the receiving handset shows Receiving and the ID of the sending handset.
5) When the transfer is completed, Done! appears on the handset.

Notes: • The handsets must be currently connected to the same base.
• If the handset you want to transfer to already has seventy entries in its phonebook, you will hear a beep and Not enough memory in receiving unit appears on the display.
• If the selected handset is out of range or data transfer is cancelled, Unavailable appears in the display, Phonebook listings will not be transferred.

Have Fun!!

Need to delete phone entries in the Phonebook

Hi. Not sure if this will help but on my Panasonic cordless phone (different model to yours), there's a button labeled "mute/clear" which is used to clear text when entering text for phone entries. Well, if you scroll through you phone book to the the entry you want to delete and then rather than pressing "Edit", press "clear" and, if it's like mine, it will ask you if you want to erase the entry, and you press "yes". Hope it works for you.
