Nothing...Maytag SUCKS!! I have the same problem and Maytag says it could take months before they get new parts to fix the faulty control panel. My unit never shuts off. Only way to turn it off is by unplugging it out of my wall socket and it has already caused my living room electrical socket to blow out. I will never buy Maytag again.

Its is not cooling my room Help?

Hello Mary;

My name is peter. I am a retired field service refrigeration technician.

There are several reasons your unit may not be cooling:

1.) A bad thermostat (Thermister) - This is a small elongated bulb with a long wire that is mounted on the face of the cooling coil. It clips on the face and has a connector at the other end. This is relatively inexpensive and easily replaced.

2.) A bad starter relay on the compressor. Although the part is inexpensive it is a major job to disassemble the unit to access and replace.

3.) A bad compressor - This is a major repair.

4.) A bad temperature controller - This requires a sharp handyman or technician.

If you remove the front cover on your unit, on the left hand side your will see your model number. Take this model number and go into the following website. Put in your model number (Left hand side) model number. Then select parts. You will get diagrams and part numbers so you can refer to the components I have mentioned above.

In general, unless you have a service contract, you are looking at a service call of $220.00 +. We conditioners window air conditioners; "Throw-A-Ways".

You can purchase a new unit for less than what it will cost you to repair yours.

I googled: Intertherm Air Conditioners There are a number or articals that may help you find what you need. One referance to a youtube "review" Hope this helps. I was going mention "how do you know it's a bad blower motor? But depending on age and use anything is possible. Usually the motor has a model number on it. That would be the safest way to find an exact replacement.

Previous tenant left ac window unit Haier HWF05XC5, but took the remote. Can I manually turn on this ac unit? when turning the power button, only the fan turns on, I'm unable to switch to AC

According to the Model Number you listed, it's a Mechanically or Manually Controlled AC unit. There is no remote control for it.Please be certain the Model Number you listed is correct and get back to me.

If it's the correct model number and it's manually controlled. You should have 2 rocker switches. One is to turn the power ON & Off. The other is to set the Fan Speed either on Low or High. Then there is a dial, numbered 1 to 10 to set the cooling level. 1 is min cool and 10 is Max Cool.

If the controls on your unit match what I described above, it's a manually controlled unit. No remote.

I hope this helped you. Please advise. Thanks.

Model 30gx faults code

Hi, the indoor chiller unit blower section will have a sheet glued to a panel on the unit that will tell you where and what the code 302 means on the unit. Then you will be able to make the repairs you kneed.

PS the numbers above show that this is a 3 ton unit, 38CKC036. The error code more than likely will be 3 flashes from the board followed by 02 flashes. I may be wrong on that , so correct me if I am.

My intertherm outside unit is clicking and I can hear a buzzer every so often. When the buzzer goes off the inside lights dim for a second. Model T5BD-048K and serial # T5A060500118. Product p3ra-048k is...

Sounds like the compressor is trying to start but is not. The lights are dimming as the unit is overamping. The buzzing noise is the motor trying to start and failing. The click is the unit going out on it 's safety device, unually an internal overload.
Hope this helps.

My air conditioning unit is not cooling as it should and I had a person come over to my house and he told me that I might have to much gas in it so they took some out. But it doesn't cool very well...

The exact amount of gas you need in the unit is usually right on the label of the unit. By the model and serial nuber you will find the refrigrant type and the charge amount in oz. It also will specify the amount needed if the lineset is over XX number of ft.
To get the correct charge in the unit now it will need to be evacuated completely and the charge wieghed in again.
