Check the drivers, Go to Control panel, select Device manager and browse the list for anything out of the ordinary, like a sub menu at one side. Go into the sub menu and click Refresh Driver and check for conflicts. Windows should be able to detect and fix conflicts.
If that is no good, go to the manufacturers web site and download the lates drivers as Windows 7 requires updates.
Hope this helps.

A lot of my favorite music is on my flash drive, error code 43 message

Code 43 Error Message

The Code 43 error is one of several Device Manager error codes. The Code 43 error will almost always display in the following way:

"Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)"

Details on Device Manager error codes like Code 43 are available in the Device Status area in the device's properties

rror Code 43 Troubleshooting

  1. Restart your computer if you haven't done so already.

There is always the chance that the error Code 43 you're seeing on a device was caused by some temporary problem with the hardware. If so, a restart of your computer might fix the Code 43 error.

Note: Some users have also reported that powering off their computer completely (not just a reset) and then turning it back on has corrected their Code 43 issue, especially if it exists on a USB device. In the case of a laptop, turn it off and remove the battery, wait a few minutes, and then put the battery back in and start the computer.

  2. Did you install a device or make a change in Device Manager just before the Code 43 error appeared? If so, it's very possible that the change you made caused the Code 43 error.

Undo the change if you can, restart your PC, and then check again for the Code 43 error.

What is code 43

Details on Device Manager error codes like Code 43 are available in the Device Status area in the device's properties: How To View a Device's Status in Device Manager.

Cause of the Code 43 Error

A Code 43 error is generated when Device Manager stops a hardware device because the hardware reported to Windows that it's having some kind of unspecified problem.
This extremely generic message could mean there's a true hardware issue or it could simply mean that there's a driver problem that Windows isn't seeing as such but that the hardware is being affected by.

Cannot get sound on any outlet port

Download and install Media Player Classic and use it.Are you using onboard audio or an add-on card? Make sure that the BIOS is set for one or the other (in other words, the internal audio disabled when using an add-on card), and installing the latest drivers for all.

go to control panel-sound-default audio device & check which device is enabled as default device. In case of HD audio remove the speaker jack & reinsert, if that port is selected as default audio then you should get an immediate message saying 'audio jack plugged in'.

Have Hp 530 laptop, i couldn't install audio

Hi,

In case you're using Win XP, download and install UAA bus driver and audio driver, extract and install them from their extracted locations.

If install fails, go to your device manager and check to see, if you have any yellow exclamation marks before any devices. If yes and you recognize somehow, which may be your yet-driverless audio device, double click that, select tab "driver" and "install driver". If prompted, don't let it connect to internet but select "i want to choose the driver to install" and by browsing select the driver from the location where you extracted the drivers you downloaded from HP's page.

If it recognizes any .inf files it may install, the OK button will go clickable. Press OK and see if it installs.

Hope this helps,
Tom

Audio problem

You need to install the correct driver for the sound device, because with win XP it can install a generic driver but it wont be working properly so if its a built sound on your MOBO you need to install driver for it from the MOBO setup CD.
