I want to buy Toshiba A4-S211 notebook PC from the Yahoo Auction. The internet seller used it for five years. Can anyone provide any suggestion or information to me?

Two cans of compressed air can work wonders. I usually use both cans at the same time, just take the laptop outside and spray away. Make sure it's off, of course ;)

That is common with Toshiba. Check to see if your fans are running. Also, there may be a lot of dust, hair, etc inside the laptop causing it to heat up. I recommend buying a laptop cooler. I got mine for $10 and I never have over heating problems anymore. Hope that helps:)

Mine did this and I thought it was overheating and vacumed the back vents. This fixed the problem.

2. Remove Case
3. Slide memory card in Open slots- the memory card will only fit in one way
4. Snap the side clips in place
5. Close Case and Power Up

1. unplug and remove Battery from laptop
2. Open memory compartment on bottom using Philips screw driver
3. inset memory in open slot, if no open slot remove current memory by pinching metal clasp on side of memory
4. Close compartment and power up you are off and running.

Problem solved. Lap top stripped apart and that little line of dust got cleared out and now the laptop works as if new. Thanks to the website I posted above that shows how to safely dismantle the A75-S211.
