Question about HP Deskjet 6980 InkJet Photo Printer
HP Deskjet 6980
How to replace the black ink cartridge.
For the 6980 the carriage should be parked on the right side of the machine. I had something blocking the bottom of the cartridge from being pulled out of the slot. I turned off the machine waited a bit, plugged it back in and after it did it's reset it moved out of the way. I was then able to pull out the cartridge.

Lift the cover up.
The ink jet carriage should park in the center of the carriage.
Gently lift on the front of the ink jet until it removes. Some you have to lift up and some you have to lift down on. Just be careful.
HP inkjet cartridges tell you on the front of the stick by a dot weather it is tri color or black.
