Question about Mathsoft Mathcad 14 for Windows Full Version for PC

Open Question

My Mathcad 14.0 was running fine with Windows 7 for about one year. All of a sudden it stopped. Now it only shows a circling cursor for 2 - 3 sec and then the cursor disappeares and that is all. Mathcad appears for a brief moment in Task manager processes (but not in applications)and disappears. All ather programs are running fine. When trying to open Mathacad through a saved file Windows shows an error message "There was a problem sending the command to the program." I did a full Mathcad reinstall but the problem persists.

Locate your Corsur In Windows 7

To turn on the Cursor feature in Windows 7, go to your desktop and RIGHT CLICK on the DESKTOP displayed and in the drop down window CLICK on PERSONALIZE and when the next window opens CLICK on CHANGE MOUSE POINTER. Then on the next window select POINTER OPTIONS tab. Next put a check mark in SHOW LOCATION OF POINTER and click OK.
Now when you press CTL, a circle will flash briefly to show you where the cursor is.

Hope this will be of some help in finding your cursor. Bud

This may work, download JRT - free soft ware.Google it and get the link. If Junkware Removal Tool perceives it as unwanted junk it will remove it. A system restore might do it if you can go back far enough.Another freeby, Unlocker may do it.

My guess is that the engineers at PTC haven't figured out how make their products compatible with Windows 7! I painfully found that MathCad 14, 13, 11 do not work on Windows 7 (I have Windows 7 Pro)! They install, but the application can't even start! However, MathCad 2000 does work on this outstanding platform; I was amazed! You could use that version in the meantime, hoping that PTC will solve this problem soon! Or install Mathcad 14 on the virtual PC that works in XP mode.
