Yes, especially if the fan does not spin freely. in this case it may have a seized bearing and if this problem is not fixed the CPU will overheat and shut down. Eventually the CPU will fail.

New memory nx6110

Did you remove and replace 1 or 2 RAM modules? There are 2 modules installed. One is internal and one is external. Both MUST BE OF THE SAME DENSITY OR THE LAPTOP WILL NOT WORK. You will need a second 1GB RAM Module, then use the link below to download the service manual for your laptop. Accessing the internal RAM module is fairly easy...follow the directions and you will have not problems. You CAN remove the internal one and operate the device on the single 1GB module, but I would recommend if you do that, you put the 1GB module in the internal slot. Then later, if you wish, you can add more RAM without additional disassembly. By doing this you will at least double your RAM from the 512MB you had to !GB. You can double it again with the second RAM Module to 2GB later.

My nc6000 starts automatically then shuts down and fan stops afterwards... pls... help

You may want to try to plug it in a power outlet and see if you get the same outcome. If no then the battery might be causing the issue and you'll have to replace it. If yes, then there could be a problem with the laptop's internal power supply. If it turns off with the power light on, it may be a loose hardware, the RAM, Processor and/ internal cables might need reseating. If this still doesn't work, then try removing the CMOS, clean it then put it back after minute.

Fan doesnt work on heat cool ok

Often the fan will cycle on and off on the heat mode. A cold air prevention mode is often built into modern Ac units whereby the indoor fan wont turn on until the internal system pressure is up to a certain point and heat is available to pump into the room. If the system cant come up to pressure or temperature then possibly the system is low on gas. Place your hand on the large pipe leaving the outdoor unit, it should be HOT when the system is on heating mode and running. If not Hot, then it is low on gas.

1. It is because the cpU fan within your laptop is not exhausting the heat properly for some reason.
2. Open up the laptop case and check if the fan is working properly or not. If not working, replace it immediately with a new one or it may burn out your processor itself.

3. Clean the dust accumulated on to the casing and heat sink which is under cpu fan as this may block air circulation.
4. If everything is done, your laptop should work fine. If you are not comfortable with doing youself, then seek help from any of the computer service center.

I hope this is useful to you

Sony laptops have a thermostat which monitors the heat internally. When it gets too hot, the fan will turn on, when the unit cools back down, it will then turn off. There is nothing to worry about.

For laptop computers there is little you can do internally - for example, you cannot replace the cpu heatsink/fan with any other one than the same model. However I've had pretty good results by getting a nice laptop stand that has one or two large fans built into the stand. This dissipates the heat generated by the laptop much more effectively than sitting on a flat desk or other surface, and with luck, it may allow you to game on without shutting down.

Also, you can turn off some of the game effects - which requires less processing, thus less heat is generated.
