Tv standby

If your TV is stuck in standby mode, and does not wake up with the remote, either the remote is faulty (did you check the remote batteries?) or the TV is. Inexpensive current TVs do not have manual buttons on the TV, they depend on the remote for everything.

Remote control sometimes is working, most of the time is not working, so I have to turn it on and off manually

Tries check the tv remote battery compartment for moisture and rust on the remote battery like + - connections inside of the battery compartment?Yes?Take somethings sharp or a knife scrap all the rust out.Take a rag spray some WD40 and clean the + - battery compartment connections.Change another set of a new battery. If after this the tv remote still have the same problems, than the remote itself rubbers inner layer of the rubbers knobs probally warn out and not anymore make correctly contact to the tv remote PCB board anymore or the CPU chip itself it is slowly dying and shorting out of the tv remote CPU,remote devices are heavy dependent on it CPU chips.Or try website like Remotes.com to buy the tv original remote or very closed clone compatible one.

Tv not taking remote signal

First check if the remote works. This can be done by using a digital camera or cell phone camera. Point the remote at the camera lens and start pressing buttons on the remote. If you see a blinking light on the LCD preview screen of the camera, then you know the remote is transmitting.

If the remote is not transmitting, replace the batteries. If this still does not work, you should get a new remote.

If the remote is properly transmitting, then the issue is going to be with the TV. It depends on the type of TV you have but usually is either the IR sensor board or the main board which are in charge of receiving and decoding the signal from the remote.

Remote stopped.

I was able to find the MSN TV Set Up Guide Manual online. Within it was the list of codes for various brands of TVs. One of those for Toshiba TV was in bold print. I used the instructions for entering the code and used that bold printed code. The remote worked both the Toshiba TV and the MSN TV2 unit after that code was entered. Apparently the remote had lost the original code somehow.

Remote control SENSOR not working

This could be a fault with your remote control. It will need checking by a Television Technician.

You can clean the remote control yourself if you are careful. You will need a spray can of Servisol IPA 170.
  • Carefully split the remote control unit along the seal between the top and bottom of the unit.
  • Carefully notice how you then dismantle the inner components. (I lay the components out in the order I take them out of the unit).
  • In a logical order spray, clean and dry each part.
  • When you have cleaned all the components, reassemble in their reverse order of the way you dismantled the unit.
  • Fit new batteries and test the remote control.
If this fails to solve the problem, you will have to take the remote control to a Television Technician for testing.

If the remote is found to be beyond repair, visit www.semenedis.com who may be able to supply you with a replacement remote control. I trust this information will be of help to you.
