Question about Televison & Video
The TV died 18 months after purchase. I did not buy extended warranty. The technician tried swapping the motherboard but that did not fix the problem. Now the tech believes the LCD itself could be the issue. Does anyone have any advice here I heard a pop and immediately the picture died, I still get sound. I have not tried any fix I am trying to figure out what went wrong.
Commonly when you have sound but no imagen is caused by bad connected input cable(s) or damaged cables, check your cables(component, hdmi,or avi) and/or buy a new one,the cheaper, and check again

HI there, If the screen is blank but you have sound it is not really likely to be the motherboard. Q1 is the lamp on? Look into the air vents around the top of the panel, look for any light and heat. If there is no light but some heat, point a torch at the front of the panel, in the light can you see any movement with the TV ON!!
