My dryer suddenly stopped drying today. It just blows cold air. Before I took notice of all the lint in dryer, I took the heating element coil out which doesn't look damaged.

The lint MAY have caused a thermal limit fuse to blow out. If that is the case then it has to be replaced. There is also a chance that the heater element has failed and as you saw it is like a light bulb coil. You need to inspect it very closely if you don't have an ohm meter to test it for continuity. Trying to remove drum and how to check heating element on Frigidaire Dryer Model FER341AC0

You don't have to remove the drum to get to the heating element. Remove the cover at the bottom of the dryer, it should be on the right at the bottom.
