First turn off the printer and then delete the job held at the computer in the print queue. Then turn the printer back on. The error should go away. Try printing the document again to see if the error returns. Normally a corrupt print job causes this issue. If the error appears with no jobs being sent to the printer then the formatter board is most likely bad.
found it just not to be a good product could not get it to work properly.
Took a netgear ps121 and had it connected and working in less than 5 minutes and could use the manager sofrare that came with the printer.
try this: make sure you do not have any pending printjobs (cancel all documents if there's one) then delete all printer icons. Reboot the computer then launch the printer server software to locate it. add that network printer & make it your default.
probability is that some of your applications are sending printjobs to the wrong queue (like the one for the USB connection).
Before I put this solution in (manually adding the printer step-by-step), I could print a test page just fine, but not anything from Office.
Make sure to follow each step in order. I printed off the test page and held it up to the old one and the only thing I saw different was a field named "Shared". It was blank but who knows. I'm just happy the darn thing is working!
Part of the problem is likely either bad values in the registry or insufficient privileges in part of the registry. Delete anything in the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Canon folder, and make sure you have permissions in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\ before attempting a reinstall. You might also run a program like
Jouni Vuorio's RegCleaner.
If you can't get it to work, I'll buy the Axis 1610 off you ... I've been looking for one, but they're no longer available.
