Question about Euro-Pro 534DX Mechanical Sewing Machine

1 Answer

I have a Janome 534d overlocker. The "green" thread always keeps unthreading itself. I keep referring to the manual for assistance and I thread it according to the instructions. Why would this keep happening? Please advise.

Always leave a long thread tail of 3-6 inches pulled behind the machine

A manual would be helpful:

Instruction Manual Janome Newhome 234

Even if you are unable to find a manual for your particular model, similar models usually thread the same or similarly. Just be sure to ALWAYS RAISE the presser foot when threading the machine so the thread will seat in the tension disks.

The 4th (bottom) thread on my overlocker keeps breaking, any ideas why please, I have re-threaded it and also changed the needles but with no joy - HELP PLEASE

When threading the fourth thread (Green) make sure that the needle threads (1, 2 - Orange and Blue) are not over the fourth threader. This would cause them to tangle up with the fourth thread. This is caused when manually advancing the machine to thread the fourth thread. I run a piece of cardboard through the feed mechanism to free all threads before using the overlocker.

Hi, got a second hand Janome Mylock 134 overlocker, it's a great machine. I need a manual for it so I can learn all that I can do with it. At the moment I just do straight forward overlocking, and have...

there is a good video on you-tube that should how to rethread a janome and i think they are all pretty much the same. Also, don't unthread ! tie the new thread to the old and gently pull it through or sew slowly till it comes through ( you'll have the rethread the needles but the knot should be able to go though the other parts.
I'm sure there will be some more ideas on you tube to get your confidence up ; good luck
the manual might be on sewingmachine.com but you may have to pay. try looking online first

I need to check the tension on my Janome 534D, I think the upper and lower looper tensions are not right

Hello,
Here's a couple of solutions to try.

* Re-thread your machine
It may be threaded incorrectly. And when you re-thread it, make sure your thread goes in between your tension disks. (If you don’t know where your tension disks are, consult your machine’s manual.)

* Check your tension disks for dirt or lint
Lint or dirt between your tension disks may be keeping your tension from working properly. Clean out any you find.

I hope this helps.

Lower right thread (green) keeps coming out of its eye!

Dear Louise I had the same problem and it was suggested to me that I change the needles as one of them could be bent. I have done this and the problem is no more. Good luck sewhat
