It means you have an inlet error, water is not coming in. It could be a few things.
Check to see if the valve is clogged with sentiment.
The air guide contains a flow meter, if you have hard water it could be messed up and would need replacing.
There have been several instances though where broken wires in the door have caused this problem as well. Remove the front panel and look to see if any wires are stuck in the insulation, if so splice and put insulation (white) behind them so it doesn't happen again. Chances are this will be the cause.

LG Dishwasher Displaying Fault Code E1 LDF7810BB/01 LEAKAGE ERROR // Excessive pump motor RPM due to water leakage
The manufacturer has assigned this error or fault code to indicate that when the drain pump is running it is not experiencing the back pressure it expects. This is usually an indication that there is a water leak in the drain system. Check all hoses and connections. Check under the dishwasher for any major leak. If all checks out, be certain there is a proper loop in the drain hose to prevent siphoning. Finally, if the problem persists, the drain pump itself might be defective.

I have a LG dishwasher that exhibits occasional groaning, 1E error and poor cleaning. Sometime it works fine but lately it's getting more common.

Since you have replaced the water inlet valve and still have the 1E error code, this leads me to believe that your water pressure could be too low.
1E error code means that your machine is not filling with enough water to operate correctly, so check the supply system completely and also the filters where the supply hose enters the machine.
The poor cleaning could be food clogging the lower filter screen, the groaning is the circulation pump cavitating.

We keep getting an error message E1. We have an LG 2120 model

The E1 or 1E error or fault code indicates that the washer is not filling with water. Check to be sure the water supply valves are open. Also, check to be sure the water supply hoses aren't kinked or clogged. Next, remove the hoses from the washing machine and run water into a bucket to test the pressure and flow of the water. If all of these check out and you have good water pressure and flow to the machine, you should replace the water inlet valve.

It's showing an error message, 1E?

If all of these check out and you have good water pressure and flow to the machine, you should replace the water inlet valve. This is the electrically operated valve that allows water into the machine when required.

I traced the fault to one resistor on the controller board and replaced it for R0.10. The original quote to repair was R1480.00! So I saved myself a handsome amount, no thanks to LG!

My Lg Dishwasher , model 12aw2 , has an error message OE shortly after start up , dishwasher is over 6 years old , is this a simple fault to repair? or not worth it ?

The LG error code OE simply means "the pump is blocked". Presumably the water isn't being emptied properly. As with all error codes it is possible that there is a cause other than the exact description in the error code explanation but basically this error means as far as the washing machine is concerned it thinks the water isn't pumping out. A pump, or filter blockage is the most common cause but it could be caused by other faults such as a faulty pump, or even a blockage in the drain hose or somewhere else in the system etc.

LG themselves have some information on this error code..

LG LDF7811ST 1E code

Are you sure it's 1E and not LE error code??  The symptoms you mentioned indicates that it is an LE error code and the motor has an issue.  You will need to call a qualified LG technician to diagnose and resolve the problem.
