Reset your router back to it's factory settings by holding the reset button for about 5 seconds. I have provided a list of the most popular router brands. If it does not work you may need to google what your specific model's default IP address/default username/default passwords are, for example search for "Encore ENHWI-2AN3 default IP address" The default login info can change, it can depend on where you obtained your router. If you purchased it yourself from a store then the standard defaults should work. If you obtained your router from your Internet Provider you may need to contact your service provider. It also may depend whether it's an old or new model router as well. And you may need to press and hold the reset button on your router several times before it actually clears. Make sure you have a wired connection then once you have accessed your router simply run the Setup Wizard. Set your SSID as something you'll remember like "Mavericks Network" and your Password can be something like your phone number for example 3109876543

hi! I think u need to install drivers in your PCI internet/LAN Card or built-in LAN
Please check the brand of Motherboard if it is built-in or the PCI Card Brand. and browse it in the net with another PC with the NET connection, to the manufacturer websites. and search it with corresponding model of the motherboard or the PCI Card. and download the Driver's and save to USB
and paste it to ur PC and install it.
if this tips is helpful. please rate it. thank you.
You never mentioned at what stage this error is displayed?
Neither Make and Model of the Machine?
Still. let me offer you a generic solution, that might work :-
Type 192.168.1.1 in you browser address box. Username blank & Password is admin.Once
login to the Router setup page, Below setup tab , change the Local Ip
to 192.168.2.1 and click on save settings. Once done sucessfuly. Unplug
the Power from Router and Modem wait for 30sec and plug the Power to
modem first wait for 30 sec and plug the power to linksys router, and
try going online.
Unless, let me know with all the above details i mentioned.
If admin password is not working, it might have been changed to something else. Try to type any password that you can think of. If none works, you need to reset the router by pressing the reset button at the back of it for 30 seconds, then unplug the power for 30 seconds, plug it back in then try to access the 192.168.1.1 page again, that should do it for admin as the password, no username.
is the router brand-new? If not, trying re-setting it using the recessed reset button at the back....it is possible that a previous configuration of the router might have changed it's local IP address.
just reset the router... do you know how? there is a small hidden button on it that you must press and hold for some minutes firs with the router powered and then with the router not connected to power line... Try this at leas 2 times with and 2 time without power, then try accessing the router as if it were new... with the default pass that comes in the manual...
