GE air conditioner ASM08LLS1 Problem: Cannot remove air conditioner from its casing. Both Phillips head screws have been removed from sides of casing. Instructions say, "slide the air conditioner from the case by gripping the base pan handle and pulling forward while bracing the case. If its in a window make sure no one put a screw on the outside when mounting it.
it takes 2 to pull one out sometimes as the water ,goop ,rust gets under the tray.
I assume you removed the front.
the base pan is all you can really pull on hard but you can do some pulling on the sides just be gentle. lol.

Can i take my frigidaire ac out of the case without removing it from the window?

Good Afternoon Friend,

I understand that you want to know whether you can take your Frigidaire air conditioning, model# FRA256ST2, out of the case, without removing the case from the window. Yes you are. Below are step by step instructions for removing your air conditioning from the case.

    1)Unplug your air conditioner.
    2)Take the front grill off.
    3)Remove the filter.
4)There are four panel screws, two on each side of where the front grill and filter were. Remove these screws.
5)Gently pull out your air conditioner.

For replacing your air conditioner, follow the steps in reverse. I ask that you please follow up with a comment on the post, at your convenience, to advise if further troubleshooting is needed or if your washer light status has changed successfully. Hope this is helpful.

    -Best regards-

How to take off side panels?

2 Phillips screws recessed where hands go to lift unit. Then remove 4 plastic caps and 4 screws on each side. Sides should drop down 1/2 inch once screws are off that allows removal.

My olimpia spledid piu Air Conditioner is flashing 8 on the display screen, it wont turn on at all. Anyone know what it means or how to fix it

In our case this error means that the grandkids have jammed jigsaw puzzle pieces in the main blower at the front. The manual says to return to service centre for repair. If you've got a philips head screwdriver, you can fix it yourself. First REMOVE POWER CORD FROM WALL. Remove back cover, undo 7 phillips head screws, note the bottom 2 are longer for assembly. Remove front cover by undoing 3 screws on each side. Be careful with fine ribbon cable you can unplug it at the connector on the unit. Remove whatever has jammed the main blower, in our case it was jigsaw puzzle pieces, that could not be seen when the unit was assembled. Replace front cover, don't forget the ribbon cable. The front cover sort of goes back on from the bottom front first, and is snug over the top. Replace back cover, (remove dust from internal radiator fins first). Leave turned off for an hour or so if you had the unit upside down to remove blockage. Boom you just saved yourself a couple of hundred bucks probably.

How to remove panels from air conditioner - Delonghi PAC A120LE

Hi there,

Are you referring to the from panel of the air conditioner?

Please look for screws or hinges on the side of the fron panel and once you've found them remove the screws or gently take off the the cover from the hinge. (you may have to use a flat head screw to remove the face cover if it's locked by a clip).

Hope this helps!

How do I remove the front panel to clean the coils in the front? I have the panel free at the top, bottom and sides but seems to be hanging up/caught in the middle, between and below the vents? Fedder...

front panel has one phillips screw in it. remove the air filter and you will see it. Once you remove the screw, grasp the lower front sides of the cover, where the plastic meets the metal, and gently pry it outwards and towards you. there are plastic clips that hold the cover in place. One on each lower side and three on top.

Cooles but will not heat

heat strip is possibly burnt out and will need to be replaced. The strip sits inside the unit right behind the evaporator coil, To access the heat strip you will need to remove the unit from its casing and place it on a level surface.. The heat strip is possibly in a metal casing and the heat strips look like the heat strips in a toaster. The assembly comes out by removal of a few phillips head screws and has an electrical disconnect plug that powers the coil. Take the coil assembly along with the model and serial number to the nearest appliance parts house for replacement part. Good Luck hope this helped you somewhat

How to take apart case and back flush heat exchange fins

You do not have to remove the coils. Just carefully lift the top with the motor and set it aside (power off). Spray the outside with a foaming cleaner (Dow bathroom) and flush from inside out.
