May be you should try to change all your old ELCO and DDR bus termination regulator (the type is vary depend on the manufacturer) on the GA-EP35-DS3R ...AFTER you buy yourself a new board...or try to check your powersupply current and voltage..check your hdd for bad sector, check your memory for a defective chip (with a multitester, a hirens boot cd or mini pe or bart pe), check your proc and chipset temperature..

The Motherboard is going bad if it restarts on it's own. I suggest you try a different board.

Hello, have you tried changing the batteries in your mouse? They are probably dead or dying and that is why it is not working. Also, try restarting the computer. If you cannot even use a regular wired usb mouse, there may be something going on. Try changing the batteries, restarting the computer, and using a regular usb and a regular PS/2 mouse.

Thanks for using FixYa!

Keep restarting every 5-10mins. was inf motherboard bad

Restarting loop in your computer can be caused various reasons.

1. Overheating of the processor.
2. Problem with your operating system
3. Motherboard failures

While restarting your computer you should be seeing the Sony logo and then the windows logo, post which you will go to your desktop background. If your computer is restarting immediately after the windows logo before loading windows desktop, then the problem can also be with the windows operating system. For this situation while your computer is restarting keep tapping the F8 key as soon as you see the sony logo, then choose safe mode and hit enter, This should load safe mode, in safe mode wait for some time and see if your computer is restarting. if not then the issue is with some recently made change or recently installed software or hardware. If it restarts even from safe then the issue is with the hardware of your computer

sounds like its an over heating issue,i would check the fans to make sure they are all working and clean.Check that the cpu has thermal paste and that it still good(if its stiff or crumbles when you take off the heatsink it needs to be replaced)also check the memory is seatted all the way in.

There are a couple options to get rid of the problem:
1. Try restarting yahoo messenger
2. Try restarting your computer
3. Keep trying a couple more time
If this won't help, shut down the messenger and try again a bit later

My computer keeps restarting

do you see an error message at some point?
describe in which part specifically your computer restart?
what were you doing last before the computer started acting up on you?

it may be a driver problem:
have you tried to restart in safe mode?.. after the post sequence press f8 and start the computer in safemode. there are other options you may want to try from the advance startup menu that comes up when pressing f8. if you are able to start the computer in safemode your problem most likely is with a driver.

did you install new hardware?
try uninstalling the new hardware and restart the computer to see if that solves the problem

you may have a problem with some configuration files or booting files...
try to restart your computer with a windows 98 boot disk. first download the disk from http://www.bootdisk.com/ and make a floppy disk as directed. then get into the cmos/bios of your computer and make sure your first booting device is your floppy drive, then put your newly made win 98 boot disk in the floppy drive and restart your computer. at the prompt type c: then enter then type win
