Hi, It is because of the bad or empty cartridge, so please change the cartridge and check.

HP Photosmart C4140 error message won't go away Remove and check color cartridge. I have done this and unplugged, checked both color and black cartridges...won't go away.

hey, sometimes there are faulty cartridges. i use to got some brand new and original from the shop and not working.. so try it with some old cartridge if you have.. you can also try to remove the cartridge and clean/wipe the contacts on the cartridge side and on the printer side (turn of the printer for safety)

Just put in a new black cartridge and it wont print anything. Keeps saying alignment problem and prints a bunch of tourquoise designs in stripes. got the alignment note to go away but still nothing on...

It could be that one of your cartridges are not seated well in the carrier or one of your cartridges are faulty or just needs cleaning:
  1. Open the printer cover.
  2. Remove both cartridges from the printer.
  3. Close the printer cover.
  4. Unplug and re-plug the printer into the power source to reset it.
  5. When the printer turns on, re-insert one cartridge first. Close the cover.
  6. Check for any errors.
  7. If no error appears, re-insert the other cartridge.
  8. Replace whichever cartridge is causing the error to appear. Or you could also insert a different known working cartridge to determine if the other is faulty.

Hi my black ink wont print i have done lots of head cleaning and replaced cartridge with a new one but it still wont print? the printer is only 12 mth old and i really dont want to have to buy another one...

Well you dont say what model printer you have but I suspect that it is either a canon or brother.
If it is a brother, forget it and throw it away as the cost to repair is more than printer is worth.
If it is Canon then you have a defective printhead and no matter what you do you will not get it to print the black.
The printhead is situated under the ink cartridges. Remove the cartridges and then you can remove the printhead. You can try steaming the printhead but it wont redeem it. Unfortunately the cost of a new printhead is more than the cost of a new printer.

Fridge wont cool

Dismantle the light unit and remove same. Front cover 2 screws and difuser. Mark difuser for right way up. Remove screw covers to lower unit and remove four screws. Ease away unit breaking ice seal and unclip connections. Remove same. Defros with hair dryer or similar and then do the same with the removed unit. Clear away insulation from fan drain and defrost to dry condition. Replace as removed. The problem is it has to be repeated at intervals when the fan shows signs of founing. You will know by the noise. Paul.

Cant print and im getting an error message

This generally means that the cartridge is empty or defective and needs to be replaced with a new one.

I now have a message on my 6110xi printer which says "remove and check cartridge". When I remove and check, they both seem fine - when I reinstall, the message remains.

Try another cartridge. Sometimes they go bad. If the message goes away, then your cartridge is bad. Otherwise, try cleaning off the contacts where the cartridge goes in.

Error mesage wont go off ...previously had low ink so changed catridges but no ink error wont go away

1. have yopu removed the cover lable.

2. Try re-seating the cartridge.

3. If still the same, Try another cartrige even if it is the old one and see if the error changes. If it does then you have a bad cartridge.

4. If this does not work try uninstalling the printer driver and then re-installing driver.

this would probably be a printer failure itself, the print head that reads the presence of the the cartridges is failing and you need to check if theres any sign of leakage or broken parts
