I have a Canon MP160 as well and just replaced the cartridges with the proper ones for my printer and the colour comes out very faded, almost washed out completely and i've cleaned the heads twice.....can someone help?

what error come out??? you can push and hold maintanace n colour button... wait untill you see number 1.. if error 5,you catrige was broken... too much ink...
E5 - The ink cartridges are not installed,
or a non-supported ink cartridge is installed, or the ink cartridges are not
installed properly. E28 - Ink cartridge temperature rise error.
Replace the cartridges. Call to authorized service center.

Paper quality does make a difference in the quality of print, but it's usually in the areas of blurriness and vibrance. If your prints are coming out faded, the quality for your prints might be set to 'economy', which doesn't use very much ink. If you have it set for 'quality' prints, I would try replacing the ink cartridges.
what cartridges you replace it? original or refuse or compatible ....as
i know if u using the compatible cartridge maybe will be cause
it....or when u top up refuse cartridge too much.....it will cause the
service station...oly way u can do is service the station kit by uself
or send to nearless service central .....
