Question about Brookstone Outdoor Wireless Speaker Computer Speakers

Brookstone Wireless Rechargeable Speakers with auto-tuning

This product (indoor speakers) has three channels, rather than a tuning dial like some wireless headsets, for ex.

I have set up the CD player with RCA audio wire to receiver/amplifier; connected speaker base, and speakers. I get sound but it's not tuned in quite right. Like a radio station that is just a bit off the mark.

I live in a small apartment and have tried different electrical outlets, locations, moved the speakers etc. away from the wireless modem and router.

From the Brookstone advertising, it sounded like the technology has gotten to a point where auto-tuning with three channels should work. I hope I can find a solution because I like the speakers very much.

Many thanks for all suggestions.

Its probably the interference with the routers. try getting internet by bypassing the router. much easier sound quality.

Big blue speaker repair

Lithium ION batteries are usually rechargeable. The use mode for these batteries is that there are a set number of recharges that equate to the life of the battery. Usually that life is approximately 1,000 charges.
If you use your battery to 50% then recharge, you can do this ~2,000 times. As the life of the battery is used up, the maximum charge lessens which means where you may have had 8 hours of play time when the battery was new, you will only have 6 hours as the battery life is used up.
In order for a Lithium ION battery to recharge there must be at least a small amount of charge left as a "seed" for that recharge. If you drain a L-ION battery down to zero, it may never recharge again or the max charge will be reduced to an insignificant amount of the original full charge. eg instead of 8 hours you may only get 15 minutes, or 5 minutes, or no minutes.
You are much better off recharging when 50% depleted than using it up til your product stops.
L-ION batteries cannot be repaired only replaced. Most cheap products using L-ION batteries cannot have their batteries replaced.

If the speaker is under warranty get it replaced.

Taking the speaker apart to replace the battery will compromise or even destroy the acoustic properties of the speakers. Big Blue Live Wireless Bluetooth Speaker

Can Acoustic Research wirless speakers be used for surround?

yeah, I looked it up on thier website. Here is what they say.

Warning: This product is designed to work with line level outputs or headphone outputs only.

DO NOT connect it directly to speaker outputs as it will permanently damage the transmitter.

You can use these as surround speakers if you like. You just need a line level surround output on the receiver. Most high end receivers have this feature but, you may only have speaker level outputs.

If that is your case the only option you have is to use a "speaker to line level adapter".... http://www.crutchfield.com/p_543ADP12/Russound-ADP-1-2-Speaker-level-to-Line-level-Adapter.html?tp=9070

Now crutchfield.com is always a little high on prices but if you look around I have seen them around $10 online.

Good luck with your project.

Brookstone Wireless Outdoor Speaker with Bose 123 System Problem

AUX usually refers to an INPUT, such as a CD player, etc. No signal comes out of a standard AUX jack, unless it specifically says "Aux speaker output". Instead, look for another speaker output jack, such as remote speaker, B speakers, etc. You may only have one set of speaker output jacks, in which case you would need to connect your wireless speaker to the speaker output jacks along with your main speakers, or buy a little speaker selector switch box to switch between main and wireless speakers. There's usually no harm in connecting more than one speaker set to the same outputs, though it is technically not recommended. In the real world, just don't crank it too loud and you'll be fine. The wireless speaker MIGHT run off of a standard line output also, if the wireless speaker has its own power amplifier.

We have the sharper image wireless indoor outdoor speaker and when we plug everything in there is nothing coming out of the speaker. Are we able to get it to pick up satellite radio?

The wireless speakers do not pick up a wireless signal outside of the round wireless broadcaster that came with the speakers. You will need to connect that to your satellie radio to broadcast to the wireless speakers. Make sure the wireless broadcaster component is plugged into the sound source you want to make wireless. After you've connected the broadcaster to the sound source and turned everything on then push the Auto tune button to connect to the broadcaster and recieve the sound.
