Jaime and lets say we want to replace the Power Supply , I am a hardware technician, I havent open the TV yet, But would like to know where to get power supply for this TVs?

    Thanks for your help

I have this same model and replaced the two 1000uf/35v capacitors (which were bulging) in the power supply, and now it works like a charm. The replacement caps didnt quite fit in the black metal box encasing the power supply so I tin snipped some of the metal off the edge so they'd fit. Its pretty easy if you have basic soldering skills. (mind you, the fault in your tv may not necessarily be the same fault that was in mine though)

The power supply will need to be replace or repair if the LCD failed to switch to the blue light.
I repair these power supplies.
Let me know if you need further assistance.

I had the same problem with my tv, but I fixed it by replacing 2 bulging capacitors in the power supply (the black rectangular, metal box behind the back panel). They were the 1000uf/35v caps toward the edge of the circuit board that's inside the black case. I had to cut some of the metal on the edge of the top of said case with tin snips for my replacement caps to fit in it though. Mind you, my particular issue may be different from yours, but I've read that power supply failures are very common with this model, and power supply problems, as a generality, are related to bad caps. Good luck.

Insignia LCD TV screen goes black until hit.

Try to follow the inverter to backlight connections---either a loose or damaged plug (look for any plug with tape on it at the plug first) or on the board that powers the lights a bad solder connection or connections where plugs connect.

My 26" Insignia LCD TV will not power on.. the little light on the bottom right corner will change from red to blue but the screen itself will not make any change.

The problem can be in the backlight inverter board or the power supply that supplys the power to the inverter board is bad. The indicator is on because the 5v standby power supply is still working at least.

Remove the power supply and replace the three (3) capacitors soldered to it. They will be rated at something in the neighbrohood of 16v. Replace them with larger capacitors, something in the neighborhood of 35v.

No Picture & No sound. Red LED, Green LED, Red LED.

If the power supply outputs are good! Then I would say the back light inverter is bad! If the screen stays black and does not come on.

Shuts off and has problems comming on

TV shuts off if it gets cold, this is the symptom of "cold solder" in power supply section and also in DM board section.needs to reworks or resolder the solder joint.
The constant blinking green light means that the TV is not booting up. This is a common problem on this set.You need to remove the shield from the DM board (standing upright on the left where the DTV RF connector is)and inside you will see the four leaky capacitors (1000 MFD 16 VOLT)replace them, plug the TV in and wait 70 seconds for the blinking light to stop, then turn on the TV.The hard part will be removing the board from the TV(lots of screws and connectors, takes time)

a3d2d2a.jpg You must do some checks first:LED does not stop blinking after plug in. Verify the standby supplies, 12-volts at connector KA pin 17, 6-volts at KA pin 18 and the 28-volts at KA pin 19, if the supplies are present suspect the DM PCB part # 934C067001 LED does not stop blinking after plug in. Check C9B01, C9B02, C9B10, and C9B11 (1000 UFD 16) on the DM PCB, if they are bad replace them with part # 181P734030 (680 UFD 16 V). LED stops blinking after 70 seconds of plug in but will not power on. This model is equipped with a keyboard lock feature; this can be mistaken as a no power condition. To unlock the keyboard press and hold the "menu" button on the front panel for 10 seconds . LED stops blinking after 70 seconds of plug in but will not power on. Check for 3.2 volts DC at connector RF pin 4 and 5 on the Signal PCB if low suspect problems with the switches/buttons on the Control PCB part # 935D736001. LED stops blinking after 70 seconds of plug in but will not power on. Keyboard is not locked and key inputs at connector RF pin 4 and 5 check good suspect the E2P PCB part # 934C061001.

Standby won't go off

It is a loose connection or cold solder and cleaning problem this is the main caused of no sound..Cold solder issues - each component is soldered into small holes on the printed circuit board which in turn connects said component to the other components. Due to time, heat, use, some solder joints would be cracked or loose. It is possible that the cold solder is still minimally connected (hanging by a thread). When the receiver turns on heat would be generated which would be sufficient to further loosen up the solder joint to the point it no longer provides electrical contact. Jarring the unit creates movement inside enough to re establish the contact, sometime good enough sometimes not enough.

Again, since the unit still operates (sometimes) then it is highly probable that there are no defective components. As you have surmised, it is possibly a loose connection, solder joints are "connections" except that molten soldering lead is used to attach/connect the component to the board, "loose connection" in this sense is equal to "cold solder".

Again on the assumption of no defective parts, then seeking a more experienced buddy for the soldering might be to your advantage. This is of course in addition to the possible electrical hazards when repairing....

Good luck:

Tv stuck in standby

Your problem is in the switch mode power supply or the horizontal out circut.
sometimes the small CHOKE that feeds the base of the horz. out transistor has a cold solder joint.
resolder both ends first.
