Music good, smoke bad!!!

You fried something for sure. If it is under warranty take it back and get it exchanged. That model of Pioneer is an exchange only, they won't fix it unless it is not under warranty.

If it is not under warranty, the cost for repair will be around $100 or more, that's about the cost of a new one. This model is not worth repairing since it is so cheap to buy a new one.

If you want to try and replace the output it uses the PAL007B output IC. You can also use the PAL007C. If it is fried, it may not be possible to read the part number on the IC.

Maybe you make a mistake and burn out the audio amplifier IC and you gotta change it.

I need wiring color coding 4 pioneer deh 2050mpg? i know red is constant power.

Not to question you about the red being constant power but I have a pioneer deh-1600 car stereo and red is hooked to electric terminal controlled by ignition switch (on/off) and if your unit has a yellow wire that goes to constant power. The only problem with hooking up the red wire to constant would be if you happened to accidentally leave your player on it could drain the battery. Hope this helped a little. Good luck.

I dont know which wire in the memory to connect it to my after ma

The memory wire is usually the yellow wire in the harness - it goes to a constant 12v (battery) source. That's how the cd player remembers all of your presets. The red wire (the other power wire) is connected to a switched 12v source, so it only sees power when the key is on. That is why the cd player shuts off when you turn the key off.

Pioneer deh 1600 has no power

just run both red and yellow to 12v ...

well put the red on a constant 12v source then
yellow you need to put on a 12v source that comes on and off with key ..

yellow wire can go to the fuse box and take a non-using fuse out and put wire in it and should have power .. ..

i would recommend to locate the cars original wires tho ..

i am no pro iam just an average joe but i kno from installing stereos in many many cars .. ive done hack jobs to comp ..

hope this may help you

Pioneer deh 1600 has no power

Well.. if there is smoke coming from the head unit, the head unit could be bad. It odviously may have a wire crossed or a fuse blown, or even the wire harness could be bad. First, check the fuse for the radio on drivers side door, then check the other fuse box under the hood. Make sure all radio fuses are intact and not blown. Second, check behind the head unit to make sure no wires are touching each other and shorting out. Third, if nothing else helps, buy a new head unit & wiring harness :]

hope this helps!!!
