Can't delete some of the music on my mp3 that I'm tired of listening too?

Hi.
Well this is it. When I connect my mp3 to my PC and go into windows media player I click on the insigna player and it only shows up some of the music on my mp3, it doesn't show up everything. Therefore I can only delete certain songs. I have alot on it that have been on for a year or so now and I'd really like to delete them, but they don't show up in the media player anywhere for me to see to delete. I have click and opened folders and all kinds of things, but can't find them.

Please help.

Thanks, Sheri

There is a option to erase all songs, do this then simply load it back up with your mp3. I also re-initialized before this which is available in the System menu. This has solve my exact same issues stated above.

Hi Sheri,

Try setting the Insignina player to "File & Folder" mode and then connect it to your PC. It should be seen by the computer as another "Mass Storage Device". You should be able to see your music files this way and delete what you want.

Use Windows Media Player 11 to delete those songs off of there - the Rhapsody downloads won't work after the 30-day trial has expired anyways:

Sansa m230 delete specific song from the player

Your SanDisk Sansa does not allow you to delete files from within the player.
Instead I recommend that you follow the steps below to delete the music
You have to make sure that the device is on MSC mode...then make sure your device is plug in to the computer1.gif..Then go to programs - accesories - windows explorer, find the SanDisk in my computer, go to media, music1.gif and delete them from there.
Either under sync panel in your windows media1.gif player it will show your music when it's connected. just click the plus signs for what song you need to get rid of, right click and click delete.
Hope this helps

P.S.Please rate accordingly...
Thank You

Sync

The "please sync" refers to songs that are part of a subscription service, like Rhapsody, or Yahoo Music. If you have one of there, you need to connect to your account and update your license(s). If no, the problem is probably with you own music files. See if the following sounds familiar; - You are using some music from your own Cd's. - You used Windows Media Player to copy the cd's to your computer. - You have not manually changed any of the "default" settings in Windows Media Player. If these apply, by default Windows Media Player "copy protects" your music, giving you the "please sync" error message. To resolve this, you will need to change the "copy protect" option from WMP. Tools>Options>Rip Music, un-check the box for "copy protect". Then delete the songs on your player that are from cd's. Then, re-copy them to your PC. Then, re-transfer them to your device. You can add to this question for more assistance. Best of Luck.
