SOURCE: built in monitor speakers not working

Did u check with the volume button on the side of the monitor.
Also pls check the connections and also the volume settings in windows.

If they dont work, then try with external speakers to find out if it is a problem with the mionitor or the speakers.

What cables are needed to connect soyo dylm2286 so that monitor speaker works?

Hi!

For the speakers to work on your monitor you need a unexpensive cable that has on each end the same type of connector: 3.5 mm stereo jack. It is the same type of jack as on e.g. headphones.
The cable must be connected between the green output jack from the PC to the similar connector on your monitor.

Please let me know if it helped.

Good luck!

I have no sound on my Acer monitor

ACER X223W have no speakers build in. You must use exstra speakers or a headset.

I have acer al1917w A monitor but no sound

There is no sound driver, they are speakers, they work off of the audio output jack on the back of your PC, on the motherboard. If you have the sound drivers installed for the motherboard, and no sound, then you have plugged the monitor audio cable into the wrong jack on the PC, or you have the settings wrong just as MIKE said above.

No sound

  • Check the sound cable connection at the monitor and at the computer. Make sure the sound cable is still plugged into the external sound / headphone output (colored lime green on most desktop computers). The plugs must be inserted all the way; a partially inserted plug may not work for either speaker. Inspect the cable for visible damage. In particular, if it has a sharp bend at one of the plugs that was not there before, it is probably broken inside.
  • Check the sound icon in the taskbar to verify the sound has not been muted.
  • Open the Sound Control Panel and verify that the sound output is being routed to the external sound/headphone jack.

Monitor INBUILT SPEAKER not working

The audio cable should be from your computer's Audio Out (Green) Jack to the Monitor's Audio In jack next to the AC connection.

No sound on new LG Flatiron Monitor

You need to get a set of powered computer speakers!

I always found that stand alone speakers are much better than the ones in the monitor.

Speakers dont work

They are built into the monitor, however there is a cable that needs to be connected from the speaker socket of your sound card (normally colour coded green) to the audio in on the back of your monitor.  If this is done already, you need to check your volume settings on both your PC and on the monitor (remembering to check for any "Mute" settings)
