Question about HP LaserJet P2015 Printer

2 Answers

I have a strip of adhesive backed label paper stuck in a place I cannot get to. It is about 1/8 inch wide by 3 inches long. It is under the silver piece in the front of the printer between the two sets of rollers. Is there anyway to get that silver piece out or loose so I can get under it and remove the piece of paper. When I print I get these lines across the paper where the piece is stuck.

Maybe my description was not clear enough. Your suggestion deals with paper stuck that is accessible after removing the printer cartridge. Please understand this situation is a very small piece of paper with adhesive backing that is stuck under the silver part between the rollers. I know that is where it is because I was able to pull a piece out that was showing but the rest of it is stuck underneath the silver strip between the two rollers IN FRONT. Is there a way to remove parts to get underneath the silver strip? It would be necessary to have access to an HP Laserjet P2015 in order to know what I am talking about. Do you have access to a P2015? If not, I believe I just wasted my money.

After removing the print cartridge, grasp the pickup-roller cover with thumb and forefinger, squeeze the left side of the pickup roller cover to release the left retaining tab, and then slide the cover to the left and up. Press the two black retaining tabs outward until the pickup roller is released from its seat. Remove the pickup roller from the printer.

Hopefully, you'll then be able to reach the label to remove it.

Your best option will be a "walking" or "even feed" foot. Your Brother dealer should have them in stock.

How to hook up alpine 3653?

    • 1 Determine the distance between the system amplifier and the 2-way crossover. Cut this with the wire cutters. Strip 1/2 inch of insulation from the amplifier end of both speaker wires. Loosen the amplifier speaker screws with the appropriate screwdriver. Insert the bare wires under the terminals strips. The speaker wire with the writing or molded ridge is usually used as the positive wire. Tighten the wires down with the screwdriver.
    • 2 Route the wires within the vehicle, avoiding potential hazards such as floors, seatbelt areas, and anywhere where small stressing or abrasion may occur. This usually means under side trim or tucked within the dash. Secure any loose speaker wire with zip ties every 4 inches.
    • 3 Remove 1/2 inch of insulation from the crossover end of the wires. Locate the section of the speaker terminals labeled "INPUT" or "AMP." Insert the wires leading from the amplifier under this strip, following the same polarity used at the amplifier. Screw these down with the appropriate screwdriver.
    • 4 Cut lengths of wire to connect from the crossover to the woofer and tweeters. Strip 1/2 inch of insulation from both ends of the wires. Crimp a 16 gauge insulated connector onto the tweeter end of the speaker wire leading from the crossover. Insert the wires under the loosened screws labeled "TW" or "TWEETER." Tighten these back down to secure.
    • 5 Strip 1/4 inch of insulation from the wire pigtail leading to the tweeter. Insert this into the other end of the insulated connector, and crimp it securely. Repeat for both tweeters.
    • 6 Crimp a 16 gauge female spade terminal on the ends of the wires leading to the individual woofers. Slide these over the appropriate terminals on the woofer, again following the same polarity observed at the amplifier. Insert the crossover end of the wires into the "WF" or "WOOFER" terminal on the 2-way crossover. Tighten them back down to secure.

Clothing got between pad and motor, how do I take apart to unjam

There is an adhesive label on the top of the motor.

There are two very small hex nuts that hold the handle tight against the motor assembly. You can take a sharp single edge razor blade and lift the adhesive label from the motor on either side, the left or the right just far enough to expose the hex nuts. Use a small 9mm socket to loosen the hex nuts enough to slide the cover out. Retighten the hex nuts. Use a strong glue like Gorilla glue to reattach the label.
I sewed some "1-inch" wide elestic straps on each end to the cover to prevent it from sliding....that was over ten years ago and it works great.

Replacing the bottom comp wood with thin plywood. There's a strip of silver tape attached to the wood with a ground wire attached. What is that tape and where can I find it?

We have no idea what model instrument this is... maybe a piano??? The metal is undoubtedly for electrical shielding... nothing magic. Glue some aluminum foil with contact cement to your replacement wood. Using a screw and a terminal lug with a wood screw, attach the wire to the foil. One can also buy adhesive backed aluminum tape, but the width of that is limited to about 2 inches wide.

I have a question on my Kenmore sewing machine style 385.17626 When I start sewing, after a couple of stitches it starts to bunch up and not feed through. It's a tangled mess of thread and fabric. I'm...

Try using a double strip of tissue paper 1 1/2 x5/8 inch placing it about 3/4 inch under edge of fabric and middle of seam allowance. Start stitching on the tissue paper and continue onto the fabric to the end of seam. After that remove the tissue. You can also hold both threads and slightly pull them when you first begin the seam to help them reach the back feed dogs.

Printer prints a black streak down the reverse side

You have a build up of ink inside the printer. I had a Canon that did this. I had to take the ink & print head out, and tear a paper towel strip 1 " wide and 13" long or however long the paper towel is. I folded it in half down the length so it was 1/2x13. Then used a plastic strip to shove it under the part the print head sits in. Once I got the towel to the other side, I grabbed it with my hand. I removed the plastic strip used to shove the paper towel under. So now the paper towel sticks out both sides underneath the print head cradle. I gently pull the paper towel back and forth so the paper towel can clean off the ink build up. Hope this helps.
