Usually thermocouples are universal, the main difference is the length of the lead which doesn't really matter as long as it is long enough. You can pick them up at a hardware store usually located in the plumbing department close to the gas water heaters.

Chimney type wall furnace. The furnace won't start However after switch was off for a couple hours and turn on the switch it started. What is a possible problem?

The problem sounds like the thermocouple is not working correctly. After being off for a couple hours allowed it to cool down and reset. Sometimes you can clean the soot build up from it and it will work again. Sometimes they just need replacing. the thermocouple is what the pilot light flame heats up when you turn on the heater. when the thermocouple gets hot it sends a 20 to 60 millivolt signal to the gas valve to activate the gas flow to the main burner.

I AM WORKING ON A COZY W501E WALL FURNACE AND CANT GET THE PILOT TO STAY LIT. i HAVE CHANGED THE GAS VALVE, THERMOCOUPLE,AND THE SENSOR FOR THE HIGH LIMIT. THE PILOT WONT STAY LIT.

Pretty much the only thing that will do that is the thermocouple not generating enough voltage for the valve to say it's OK.
Usually you need to hold the button for pilot lighting for 60 seconds. You can use a meter to check that it's generating enough power. The thermocouple has to be in the pilot flame properly.

Williams wall furnace 5009622 the pilot light will not stay on

Hi,
The thermocouple is bad and needs to be replaced...
The thermocouple is the copper rod that sticks up into the pilot flame and then screws into the gas valve...
they are sold by lentgh so you need to measure the old one when you go to buy a replacement...

A thermocouple is inexpensive.  Replace if in doubt.  Get a professional in to do safety checks.  You may also want that individual to replace the thermocouple.
