Electronic control pad

The timer feature on the control pad has become increasingly difficult to use because the “plus” pad does not respond unless using strong pressure. Now it doesn’t respond at all. It also is becoming difficult to reset the oven temperature with the same “plus” pad. The range is 3 1/2 yrs old but I cannot find warrenty coverage for electronic controls.

If you are handy enough you can replace the switches or make ur own, if the range is under warranty i covers everything except a sledge hammer to the control knobs :)

No power fuse is ok what now

It is most likely a fault within the switchmode power supply - due mostly to the ever infamous electrolytic capacitors and zener diodes (the capacitors fail which increases DC voltage through the diodes, shorting them out). It could prove expensive to repair by a service centre, if that's what you want to do. You can submit the player to your local repair centre for a quote, and get a second opinion on the exact nature of the problem, then you can make a decision about any further action for it from there.

These days, so many DVD and Blu-Ray players are becoming cheaper to buy, while repairs on the same units become more and more expensive and/or uneconomical as parts are often difficult or impossible to obtain. Unless you have electronics experience, knowledge, A-grade soldering/component measurement and diagnostic skills, plus an understanding of service manuals, do not undertake the repairs yourself.

However, it is up to you what you decide to do from here. Cheaper and easier to buy a new player - consider this option ONLY as a last resort.

Mine is old, probably a 1992 model - 8700 series. Problem is the cycle control knob is becoming increasingly difficult to turn. Almost can't turn it.

hi, If the knob can be removed, take some wd40 and spray a little in the shaft area. See if that helps. If not, you are looking at replacing the timer. Contact your local parts supply house for parts. Hope this helps.

Volume/sound will not increase up on my Samsung HL61A650

If the volume indicator appears and respond as you increase the volume but the sound does not respond, there might be a problem on the audio section.Ask for a repairman to check it. If the indicator does not respond, try using manual control instead of using remote control. Also some units have features to turn speaker off or on. Go to menu scan for audio check if it is turned off or on.

Shortage?

There is a ribbon cable between the laptop & the screen. It sounds like you have a short in that cable. If you're not good with tedius electronic repairs, it would be best to have a shop repair it.
