Check all nozles for clogs. Do the same with all your drains and screens. Make sure you are getting plenty of water to the washer.

there is a place to put the soap on the front of that one.just unscrew the cap.. that's a really nice dishwasher by the way. i've never had the pleasure of installing one.

There is a rather delicate mechanism which controls that soap door. Often this is the first part of a dishwasher to cause trouble. Instead of using the powdered detergent in the soap holder just pour the measured amount into the floor of the machine.
Once you have used up the powder, you might wish to consider a tablet which also just gets tossed.
