It is in an external box- but I have lost the power supply. i suppose i could re-install it into the pc, but i rather hoped i could find out if i could try another source of power, or if i can test it to see if that is reallly the problem.

Buy an external hard drive case. Remove the hard drive from its current case and put in the new one. Another option is to buy the identical external hard drive again, use the power supply to get everything off of it. Then you can return it if you don't need it anymore...

Power light comes on but nothing else works.

There is a possibility that your plug on the adapter is the wrong polarity. See if the polarity is marked on your mixer by the power adapter jack.

Wii console don't have any power

If you have no lights, no activity, nothing at all, totally dead. Then try another ac adaptor in a known working outlet and see if it powers up, if it does power up then you know your original ac adaptor is bad.

If it still doesn't power up with a new adaptor then there is a problem with the main board inside of the Wii and the board would need to be repaired or if you have warranty left on it, get the system replaced.

No Power : Dell Inspiron 6400

the very first thing that u can try is that try with the different ac adaptor and the battery if u have and if it doesnt the same thing then definately u have to replace the motherboard and if the other ac adaptor and the battery works then replace the ac adaptor and the battery but what i suggest u is that u should replace the ac adaptor and the motherboard both at a time and it will be fine and for that u dont have to worry about ur data in the computer cause replacing the motherboard will bot loose ur data.......

I have a Dane Elec 256MB Flash Drive which gives me an error message that "The disk in drive E is not formatted. Do you want to format it now?" I do not want to format this drive because I have...

I don't you can solve this at home. You need expert that have hardware and software to retreive your data for you.

The reason you get this message is because your flash drive lost the header to tell the computer how to retreive your info.

I have 3in1 USB 2.0 to IDE & SATA Cable but nothing to show me how to use this kit

SATA 3.5" 2.5" IDE 3 IN 1 TO USB 2.0 CABLE ADAPTOR KIT

1 external connection kit
1 internal connection kit

The internal connect kit consists of 1 red USB connector cable
and 1 internal white male molex connector to SATA female power connector
( 1 yellow wire , 2 black wires , 1 red wire )

the external connect kit
consists of a 3 pin power adaptor (with a tiny plug to save space) feeding a power supply which powers either IDE thru a Molex connector or SATA through a supplied adaptor. Supplied also are data connectors to link the IDE or SATA hard drive with a USB port. Use this adaptor set to retrieve data from a hard drive when it is not mounted in a computer.

Selah :-)

Retreiving information off barely-functioning IIIx

Sorry to hear about your trusty little workhorse dying, but all is not lost, meaning your data. You'll just need to get a replacement sync cable that can somehow replace the old RS232 connection. You should be able to use the same cable that connects to the m100 without spending the extra money to buy the old Palm MacPac. Once you've got your data retrieved your new device (I assume you're addicted like the rest of us) should offer you more options. Otherwise you may want to consider getting a USB or Firewire expansion card.
