Mic wireing washington

1 audio, 3 receive, 4 shield, 5 transmit (2 MAY have to be jumped with 4) Audio wire is wrapped with the shield wire, so that eliminates 2 of the 4 wires. put 1 of the 2 remaining wires on pin 5 and plug it in ..... if it starts receiving, you can put the remaining wire on 3........ IF IT KEYS UP WHEN PLUGGED IN..... switch the wire with the other remaining one :-)

Cobra 25 ltd wx classic

the mics on these cobras have a receive wire in them so the transmit will still work even if the receive wire is broken,if this wire is broken the unit will not make any sound...........remove the plug from the radio end of the mic and check the connections on the 5 pin connector.....(could be a cold solder or broken wire) or try a new mic or one that is proven work on another radio
hope this helps.................good luck!
