Saeco Magic + Super Automatic -- pump doesn't work

I had it in storage for a few years and when I pulled it out, it didn't work anymore. Gives that weird warning that in Italian that means the pump needs to be primed. I used that hand pump that comes with it, but it didn't work. How do I fix or where can I get it fixed locally?

I don't understand. Open the water? You mean the water tank that sits on top? I've done that may times. Refilled it. Tried to use that pump to put water down into the part of the machine that the water tanks sits on. Are you saying there is a valve somewhere in the machine that lets me drain the boiler? Please explain as I've messed with this thing a long time and can't fix it.

I am sorry if I wasn't clear. I meant for you to press the button for water so that you let water come out from the nozzle. By doing so, you are pumping water from the tank and having all the lines/components full of water and be ready to go). Perhaps when you did not use it for a while, the water lines dried up Most often when the machine says "ventilate", usually this takes care of that.

You need to prime the machine. To do that, open the water to let water out ( this will start the pump and make the water run through all the internal componets. Do this for 10-15 sec.

Water pump in Saeco Magic Deluxe

If you haven't cleaned the brew group, or decalcified the unit I would start there. This is something I do every 4 to 6 months (or anytime I notice the flow of coffee to start to slow down). This normally restores the flow to the original flow level. If you have already done these things you may want to give Saeco support a call and see what they suggest. They are extremely helpful, although very difficult to get on the phone as the phone system they use is horrible and hangs up after you hold more than a certain amount of time.

Where can i get a copy of the manual for the saeco magic deluxe automatic coffee maker?

Guess you should be able to get it from SAECO website. If not, there are some specialized manual search agents. Try manualfox.com - they worked good for me.

No power!

Keever's right. Thermistor inside the machine. Saeco will not sell it to you. Has to be sent into a repair center.

Worse case it could also be the board and here's where the bad news comes in.

Saeco does not carry the magic deluxe boards anymore.

Loud noise

Not sure I understand ....is the pump making a lot of noise?
If so it might have sucked in some air. Run some water through your steam pipe until all the air has been pushed through.

Try asking Saeco USA. I called them for a schematic of an old Super-automatica. It was very helpful. They faxed it to me.

Saeco Magic Deluxe flashing water light, & not draining

The pump could be out or it could just need primed. Saeco sells a cheap hand pump that you insert into the receiver and force water into the system while the pump is pumping. This will often prime the pump and get things going. Call 1 800 933 7876 and tell one of the customer service reps you need a priming pump.
