Just a question...can the font size be changed?

The typewriter just prints what is on the daisy wheel. If the font is wrong, you need another daisy wheel with a font you like.

With a computer and a Microsoft Word, you can have a thousand Fonts for free.

To change font and pitch, you need to buy a different printwheel. machines came with a prestige elite 12 printwheel. Prestige elite has small letters and 12 puts 12 charactors per inch. Letter gothic is larger size letters. Google search for ibm wheelwriter printwheel, also called a daisy wheel.

15 pitch (15 characters per inch) printwheels are available for this machine. Check bing, google, amazon or ebay for deals.

You have to buy a new printwheel or daisy wheel with smaller fonts.

The Font or letter size is depends to your printing fonts or daisy wheel. Buy a different Font size of daisy wheel or printing wheel.

you have to get a new printwheel, pull the black lever in front and to the right of the printwheel, pull ou the old P/W, insert the new P/W in the same position and push the lever forward untill it latches into place

You can quickly adjust the font size by holding down the Ctrl key and rotating the mouse wheel forward or backward. If you're unable to change the font size using the mouse wheel, hold down the Ctrl key and then click the + or - key to increase or decrease the text size.

Go to View , Text Size select the one that you want

or from the keyboard press Control - to make smaller or Control + to make larger

A typewritter is not like a computer. It is a mechanical device, that works by pressing an embossed letter in the daisy wheel through a inked tape into the paper.
The only way you can change either the font type or the font size is by buying and replacing the daisy wheel by another one with different font type/size letters.
